Hello everyone,

Happy new year!

Just a quick follow up to my post from last week. I’m Ross from Fetch Walks & Wellbeing, and I’m currently filling my new groups in Ilkley and Burley-in-Wharfedale for a 1st February start.

I’ve been doing this over in West Leeds since 2023, so I’m well aware that "professional dog walker" usually just means "person who stands in horizontal rain while everyone else is sensible enough to stay inside."

If you’re looking for someone reliable to take your dog(s) out (regardless of the Wharfedale weather) I’d love to help.

The practical bits:

*Group Walks: I focus on well matched groups for safe, social exercise

*Credentials: Fully insured, DBS checked, and a proven track record

*Launch Offer: Free trial walk available throughout February

I also run Fetch Wellbeing, which provides K9-assisted support for neurodivergent young people. I’ll be getting that side of things moving in the spring once the new walking groups are settled.

To all my wonderful customers, friends, and fantastic dogs in LS28, LS12 and beyond...

As you know, I've recently made the exciting move to Ilkley. It’s with a mix of sadness and excitement that I announce Fetch Walks & Wellbeing will be officially welcoming paws through its doors in the Ilkley and Burley-in-Wharfedale area from 1st February 2026. This means that my final day for local walks in West Leeds will be on 30th January 2026.

I've had an amazing time since starting in 2023, and I want to thank every single one of you who entrusted me with your beloved dogs. Your support has meant the world. I'm going to miss you all so much.

What's Next for Fetch?
I'll be offering the same trusted walking and wellbeing services, but sadly won't be providing home boarding.

Fetch Dog Walking: Reliable, active, and safe group walks will be available for booking in Ilkley and Burley from February.
Fetch Wellbeing: My specialist K9-assisted support for neurodivergent young people will be launching fully once my walking groups are settled.

I’m really excited for this new chapter and look forward to building relationships in my new community.

For those of you in West Leeds, it’s not goodbye just yet. There’s still time for more muddy walks before the end of January!

Well it's been an interesting week to say the least. Along with earning very little, I've done more wheelspinning than Colin McRae, acquired chilblains (again) and, surprisingly, hit the deck only once (no lasting damage other than to my pride).

Not exactly looking forward to the impending slush and mud, but I've just about had enough of ice now.

The long awaited Leads Pets Calendar is here!

In all seriousness I want to thank all my ace dogs and lovely customers. My first full year as a dog walker/boarder has been muddy, cold, occasionally too warm, at times stressful but ultimately the best decision I've ever made. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🐶🎄🎆

🎄 🐶 A catch up from the last few weeks. So far only one dog has relieved themselves on the Christmas Tree (that I know of), so I'd say that's a success.

📢 some group walk spaces have very recently become available, so please get in touch if you have a well socialised pooch who'd benefit from joining a pack and getting plenty of exercise. Preferred locations would be or but I can be flexible. Please feel free to share.

I'm fully insured and DBS checked. I'm also a licenced home boarder, too.

📸 Updates from last week. I was happy to welcome Hugo back after he had two weeks off recovering from the snip. Safe to say he was VERY excited to be back.

In a previous life I would have been hoping for a snow day tomorrow but things have changed. Let's hope it's not too bad so I can get the dogs out ☃️
