Fido's Treat Fido's treat has been walking your dogs since 2000. Fido's Treat is a small, friendly, well established Dog Walking Service.

It has gone through many changes oner those years, but several things which have always remained consistent are its reliability, trustworthiness, quality, and care of your dogs throughout the years. Founded in 2000, it has provided the dogs of Headingley and Meanwood with a wonderfully reliable, safe but fun walk, in the company of other friendly and well socialised dogs. All in the beautiful surr

oundings of The Hollies and Meanwood Park. With only 2 walks a day (always an hour), and just a small area covered, places are limited . However, once you've made it onto the register, your place is secure and your dog can look forward to regular enjoyable, woodland walks for as long as is needed.

All the dogs were so happy today.
Rocket was back to his old self, with a bouncy spring in his feet. Red Poppy followed me eagerly, asking for treats. This is the first time she's shown any real interest in food. Kip charged around while off lead, but when he saw something suspicious in the distance, and stiffened in anticipation of a chase, I asked him to wait and sit, and I was then gobsmacked when he actually did.
And Freddy and Granny Pops were their usual angelic, joyful selves.
The weather was fabulous and so were all the pups 🩵❤️🩵❤️🩵

This morning was a struggle getting Rocket to the park. He was collapsing while I put his boots on, then fell a couple of times on the few minutes stroll to the park. However, once there, and his boots had been removed, the old Rocket resurfaced and I got my wonderful collie friend back. I made the decision to avoid the woods though, just in case it was too difficult for him, but he returned to his usual, excitable, noisy self, snd we all enjoyed a lovely, spirited walk 🩵❤️🩵

The rain held off, and it wasn't too cold, so we had a lovely muddy splosh through the park and woods today 😊

I'm so excited to be meeting a new dog on Tuesday, who will hopefully be starting her walks with us next week.
Another 1 year old red Cavapoo, called Autumn.
Apparently, her present 90 minute walk a day just isn't enough for her, so she'll be starting her epic 3hr adventures with us, three times a week, next week.
I have my fingers crossed for some particular best buddy time, with Freddy and Red Poppy ❤️

My camera has had a busy day.
Starting with Meanwood walkies with Fred, Granny Pops and Kip.
On the way home we had the enormous pleasure of bumping into Layla, the luscious elderly lurcher I used to walk years ago (aka Sicknote).
Then later I was out with Taygar and Kip again.
Time to put my feet up for a few hours now....

Glorious sunshine again 🌞
While out with Rocket, Granny and Red Poppy, and Kipling, we had the pleasure of bumping into my friend Jane and her little old man, Bailey, who accompanied us on some of the walk.
We also met Karen Jenkinson who was walking Rolo.
So quite the little party on the park.

Who could ever be scared of little Freddy? 🤷‍♀️
Well, it turns out the answer is Red Poppy, when Fred's psychotic, excited, spinny turbo switch is flipped.
Thankfully the fear was short lived, and 5 minutes later they were bosom buddies again ❤️🩵.

This evening I took Taygar out with Kipling. His elderly mum has had a fall, and broken her arm so I've offered to bring her boy on Kip's late afternoon walks most days. We've known Taygar since he was a pup, but he was always a bit nervous of Eli, so we've never managed to interact with each other. However, he's more than happy in just Kip's company, so hopefully we can help her out until her cast cones off in 6 weeks.
