Fido's Treat Fido's treat has been walking your dogs since 2000. Fido's Treat is a small, friendly, well established Dog Walking Service.

It has gone through many changes oner those years, but several things which have always remained consistent are its reliability, trustworthiness, quality, and care of your dogs throughout the years. Founded in 2000, it has provided the dogs of Headingley and Meanwood with a wonderfully reliable, safe but fun walk, in the company of other friendly and well socialised dogs. All in the beautiful surr

oundings of The Hollies and Meanwood Park. With only 2 walks a day (always an hour), and just a small area covered, places are limited . However, once you've made it onto the register, your place is secure and your dog can look forward to regular enjoyable, woodland walks for as long as is needed.

I knew today would be a scorcher, so it was an 8.30am walk, in the shade, at a gentle pace.
Despite the lack of charging around, we had a good rummage in the trees, and finished with an extended challenging kibble hunt. It's so lovely to watch them all working their noses, eyes and brains in unison.

We had the privilege of sharing our Sunday morning walk with Rocket today. I was expecting unbearable heat from first thing, but it was actually a comfortable acceptable temperature (we all breathed/panted sighs of relief), and as a bonus for Rock, we added several little shady stop offs, so we could pad the walk out a further 30 minutes without tiring him.

Apologies for not posting daily walks. My own accident prone boy Kip, has been keeping me on my toes with his usual shenanigans, followed be stitching up at the vets 🤦‍♀️

So today it was only Rocket and Fred, which worked out wonderfully.
The first 10 minutes was frantic playtime between them, and the rest of the walk mostly involved Rocket flinging various sticks at me.. 💙💙

WOW!!!
What a greeting from all the pups today, and what a fabulous walk.
Firstly, let me apologise for the length of the video. Honestly, I cropped and cropped some more, then sliced more bits off, but the pups were just soooo photogenic today.
I assume it's down to the awaited drop in temperature, and in Poppy's case, I haven't seen her since last Wednesday. I like to think she may have missed me as much as I missed her.
Secondly, apologies for all the blurry footage of Fred's tail and grass. He's a champion at out-running the camera.
And finally, apologies to Rocket's family for his over-exuberance. I probably should have put him on the lead but he was having so much enjoyment in the cool weather, i thought that on this one occasion...

No Eli today as he's limping a bit again.
