Pumpkin has been really struggling in the cattery 😢 she’s so sad and just hides in her fort. Sadly her fosterers are away for Christmas, so she spent today feeling so lost and alone in the cattery. Of course we tried to keep her company and visited her but she doesn’t like the comings and goings of cattery life and longs to find a quiet home with no other pets. 🏡
We were so lucky to find her a foster home where she felt immediately at ease and came out to explore. She loved being stroked and even played! It was like seeing a different cat on the daily catch up videos! 🥹
Although no cats will be going home after today until the new year - we are still accepting applications for cats and kittens currently on the website. We will also still be contacting successful applicants to book in meetings with your chosen cats. 🐱❤️
Although Pumpkin will be going into another foster home, we couldn’t make her wait a second longer than necessary to find her a family to love her. If you could offer pretty Pumpkin a space in your home (on your sofa to be more precise!) and of course your heart ❤️ - please apply to adopt her so she never has to feel the way she did today in the cattery. 😢 The first few photos are in her foster home and the third photo is her in the cattery today. Please look in the comments for videos showing how different she interacts in a home environment. ✨

Thank you 🐱💝
Reese finds the cattery a scary place. 😢 She’s only a year old and came from a house with many other cats and struggled to adjust to her surroundings. When she first arrived she would hide to try to make herself invisible. 😢 Since being on her personalised desensitisation programme at the centre, we’ve definitely seen her relax - but what she really needs is a stable home environment where she can truly decompress and feel secure. ❤️
Despite how scared she’s been, Reese isn’t aggressive and will allow her trusted humans to stroke her. She’s even started to close her eyes and relax into her cuddles. The way to Reese’s heart is definitely through food - she’s a big foodie and loves to be hand fed ❤️ her little eyes light up when she moves her head towards you to come for food. Reese also takes comfort from other cats, so may be able to live with an understanding cat who can teach her the world isn’t such a scary place. 🐱
As Reese is shy, we think she’d be best suited to a home with adults or older teenagers who are happy to let Reese find her paws gradually. It may take her a little while to feel truly comfortable and at home in a new place - so a household that is fairly quiet with no dogs would suit her best.
Could you offer little Reese a safe place to call home? 🏡

Gilbert brings his own brand of ginger sunshine to every day. ☀️ As you can see he LOVES a cuddle - he’s confident and affectionate and enjoys a good fuss! ♥️ He’s been with us a little while now and has become a firm favourite with staff and volunteers. We’ll miss him dearly when he goes home - but he’s 12 now, so we’d love for him to be happy and settled in a home as he enters his retirement years. ❤️
As you can see from the video - Gilbert doesn’t believe he’s a day over 7, he’s light on his feet and loves to rub up against you to let you know he wants to be friends. He knows that “it’s love that makes the world go round”. ❤️
He’s a true ginger gentleman and will make someone a wonderful companion. He just needs someone to take a chance on him. 🐱
Could he be the Gilbert to your Sullivan?

You’ve got to be ‘kitten’ me! Too cute for words. ❤️🐱 Over the festive period we welcomed an ADDITIONAL 19 KITTENS and their Mum’s that needed our help to the centre. We will always help cats if we have the capacity to do so - but it has meant a massive increase in the amount of kitten food we have needed to use lately and we’re running really low. 😢
We have had some kind donations of both Whiskas and Felix kitten wet food recently and we’re so grateful but it’s almost gone already. 😢 We use Felix and Whiskas most often but are very appreciative of all brands. If you have any that you’re able to donate or have sent to us please it really would mean such a lot to the babies and families in our care to have full tummies as well as a soft safe place to thrive. ❤️

First snuggles with Savanna. ❤️
Savanna gave the team such a special Christmas gift this morning ✨❤️ she came straight out for snuggles and seemed to enjoy every minute. She’s finally feeling relaxed and content - and it’s so special to see her transformation. We hope the cattery finally #feelslikehome to her until her special someone applies to adopt her. 🤞🏻

It started with a hiss 😘…When Hotchpotch first arrived she was trembling and so, so frightened of her new surroundings. She spent most of her time hiding. Thankfully one of our fantastic fosterers helped her fall in love with humans again and start to trust. Lots of love and reassurance and helped her forget all her worries and look at her now! She’s so affectionate and loving - instead of hiding, she spends her days purring and head bumping her favourite humans! ❤️
Do you have a quiet home with no other pets where Hotchpotch can continue to come out of her shell in her own time? She’s the sweetest girl - she just needs someone to take a chance on her. Whoever adopts her will be very lucky indeed! She hopes it’s not long before she’s happy and settled in a new home like her sister Iris. ❤️

BEWARE! Don’t try this at home! 🚨
Spotty is a very gentle cat. He's also a (fairly!) rare tummy-tickle loving boy - and gets so relaxed he even tries to multi task and play whilst he purrs! 🧶
If a cat shows you their tummy - they’re trusting you with one of their most exposed poses. Not all cats take kindly to a tummy rub while laying on their back - and may take steps to remove your hand from that area! 🐱
Happily, Spotty now trusts our team implicitly and is more than happy to enjoy a tummy tickle (or three!)
If you’re looking for an affectionate, laid back boy with lots of love to offer - please consider adopting Spotty. He can’t wait to meet you and show you his fluffy tummy! ❤️

As its #whiskerswednesday we wanted to share with you just how stunning our gorgeous girl Whiskas is 😻 check out her long spectacular whiskers!
Fun fact 🧐 : Cats typically have 24 mystacial whiskers — 12 on each cheek, arranged in four horizontal rows of three. While some cats can have more than 24, the total number should always be even. It's important that the whiskers are distributed symmetrically on either side of its face so that the cat can get an accurate read of its environment.
Share photos of your felines fabulous whiskers in the comments! 📸😻

This is her today during morning pen cleaning. As you can see, she is a lovely, affectionate girl who loves a good stroke and a shoulder to sit on!
She will need a home where she is the only pet as she would like all of the attention for herself.
If you feel like you have the right home for Flapjack, please apply using the link below.
