Kiki, one of our special needs CH kittens has decided today that Molly who is a scruffy little beast really does need a good wash ππ
It's taken Freya a long time to find the confidence to play and enjoy life after living and bringing up kittens on the streets but they all get there with the right foster home. We just need to find her the perfect forever home now π
Young Chilli came into care at the weekend when she was taken to the vets a stray that had turned up at a stables with a kitten and had obviously broken something which turned out to be the bones in her feet (X-rays in comments) We're hoping that cage rest and strapping the leg will be enough to fix these tiny bones but we'll see in a few weeks when X-rays are re done.
Everything is a steep learning curve when you have Cerebellar hypoplasia (oh and very messy as well) πππ₯°π₯°
Meet Gigi and Kiki, a 5 week old pair of sisters who were born with us and have Cerebellar Hypoplasia. CH basically means the area of the brain that controls coordination and movement is under developed and ranges from mild to severe with these girls being in the moderate range. The most common cause is unvaccinated cats being infected with the Panleukopenia virus whilst pregnant. Sadly 3 additional kittens in the litter passed away at just a few days old. Kiki and Gigi are now just learning to live with this condition which they will have for the rest of their lives.
Nothing like a Sunday morning wrestle π
