We are dedicated to raising awareness of Transylvanian Hounds in the UK. These delightful dogs are highly intelligent, loyal and agile, historically prized by Hungarian nobility for hunting in the Carpathian mountains. A campaign to exterminate them in the mid 20th Century nearly succeeded but due to the efforts of their dedicated admirers to ree

stablish the breed there are now approximately 1600-1800 living mostly in Hungary and Transylvania although there is also a small population in the United States. We are not breeders but if you are interested in getting one of these special dogs we can put you in touch with breeders in Transylvania and can offer translation services. If you have a Transylvanian Hound in the UK we would love to hear from you. If we can locate approximately 20 dogs we can ask the UK Kennel Club to recognise the breed. Aceasta pagina este dedicata cresterii interesului pentru Copoi Ardelenesti si promovarea acestei rase speciale in Marea Britanie. Acesti minunati caini sunt foarte inteligenti, loiali si agili, foarte apreciati de nobilimea maghiara pentru vanatoare in Muntii Carpati. Campania de exterminare a lor ce a avut loc in mijlocul secolului XX a fost aproape de succes, dar datorita efortului depus de admiratorii lo rde restabilizare a rasei, in momentul de fata sunt aproximativ 1600-1800 de caini, majoritatea in Ungaria si Transilvania, iar o mica populatie locuieste in Statele Unite. Noi nu suntem crescatori, dar daca sunteti interesati in achizitionarea unui caine va putem pune in contact cu crescatori din Transilvania si va putem ajuta cu traduceri. Daca sunteti proprietarul unui Copoi Ardelenesc in Marea Britanie am dori sa luam legatura. Daca localizam aproximativ 20 de caini putem lua legatura cu Asociatia Chinologica UK in vederea inregistrarii rasei.
