Crayons and Crocodiles

Crayons and Crocodiles Crayons and Crocodiles are Hannah McGee and Francine Green, two Northern illustrators, both graduates of Fine Art for Design BA (hons).

How long is a giraffe’s scarf? How big are an elephant’s earmuffs? Do penguins wear ice skates? Through a collection of prints, cards, books and art objects, the work aims to investigate these age-old questions and more. In the deepest depths of Batley Art School, the two bonded over their matching toolboxes, and have formed a troublesome alliance ever since. McGee has an infatuation for all thing

s canine, maintaining a disdain for any other furry or feathered creatures. Green is an aspiring cat lady and hates public toilets.

Oh-So-Important Announcement;

Happy Wednesday pals!

It is with misty eyes that I announce the reptilian-half of our troublesome duo has sadly (but very bravely) decided to tackle the world from Down-under.

Whilst she will be sorely missed, and I will become the size of a house after eating her share of the cakes and pastries on drawing-nights, I hope she has a mind-blowingly fantastic time.

But fear not…! Thankfully, due to all this modern day technology nonsense, we will continue to doodle, design and complete any commissions as normal… so keep them coming in please!

With that in mind, please admire our specially requested giraffe cushion made for a fellow fanatic!

Meet Anna and Badger; our newest friends/commissioned portraits for their loving owner.

We've loved working on these partners in crime... Drawn dogs are so much easier to look after than real ones!

They're all wrapped up and will be with you soon, Gary!
