Here’s some of the many beautiful pooches I’ve had in this week for de-shedding.

De-shedding involves the removal of dead undercoat on double coated breeds. It helps with thermoregulaton, encourages the natural oils to come through the coat and decreases the amount of hair around the house 🏠

De-shedding is a process in which the dead undercoat is removed. It has so many benefits for both long & short haired breeds.

Handsome Jackson in for a de-shedding treatment 🐾

Jackson is a wonderful boy who benefits from our fully hydraulic salon as he has a ‘bionic’ leg & hip meaning he struggles getting in and out of standard salon baths. At Four paws we have a bath that lowers to the ground so he can walk in and out without being lifted.

Gorgeous Mabel was in for a bath & brush. Mabel is still quite young and isn’t the biggest fan of getting dried so we play ‘find the treats in the towel’ to distract her from the dryer! 🐶🐾

Lovely Cassie was in today, unfortunately she had quite a lot of deep matting and was very overdue a groom. After a conversation with her owner we decided the best course of action would be to remove the matting taking the coat short to make Cassie feel more comfortable. We managed to save her top not and fluffy ears giving her a much more manageable style 🐶🐾

Matts need to be removed as they can become tight to the skin and cause pinching making it very uncomfortable for the dog.

Matting can be prevented by regular professional grooming and brushing at home.
