with the arrival of the baby, Bizet needs to relax outside.

“is important to prepare your cat for the upcoming changes as early as possible. Proactive preparation will save you and your cat from stress and unwanted behavioral issues so that the whole family can live in harmony. “

especially if you have a cat suffering from IBD you must care about making everything as less stressful as possible.

That’s what we did and Bizet seems to like our “new life” together.

“The use of steroids is often indicated in the treatment of IBD.

Steroids used in veterinary medicine are generally glucocorticoids.

However, diabetes is more likely to develop for cats that may be pre-disposed to diabetes or require long-term steroid use. If you are concerned about your cat developing Feline Diabetes due to steroid use, discuss it with your vet.

Keep in mind that treating Feline Diabetes is more manageable than treating IBD and there is always the potential that as steroids are decreased or eliminated, the Feline Diabetes may go into remission.”

- doing blood test every 3 months
- doing urine test every 6 months

“Rabbit diet can be made up of fresh leafy greens which should be provided every morning and evening. Rabbits eat a variety of vegetables and greens.
Rabbits enjoy spending time foraging, so they enjoy a mix of this kind of food daily which can help prevent boredom, keep them engaged and make their habitat more interesting.

Toffee loves greens.
That’s why I let her go out in the garden every day.

“Ultrasound can measure the thickness of the stomach and intestinal linings, as well as evaluate the size of the lymph nodes around the intestines.

The specific type of IBD is conclusively diagnosed based on tissue biopsies. Obtaining these samples is a surgical procedure requiring general anesthesia. Depending on the suspected location of the IBD, your veterinarian may recommend either an endoscopic procedure or a full abdominal exploratory surgery.”

rabbit’s ears serve two key functions:
1-help the animal to monitor its environment and detect predators
2-Assist in thermoregulation

*Spillo is a Lion head bunny.
Lion head bunnies ears are slightly pointed at the top and won’t exceed a length of 3 inches.

“There are many causes of inflammatory bowel disease; however, often the cause is unknown or undetermined. Possible causes include:

• bacterial infection such as Salmonella or E. coli
•Parasitic infection with worms or single celled parasites such as Giardia or Tritrichomonas
•Allergy or intolerance to a specific protein found in the diet”

We think that Bizet IBS starts because a serious food intolerance.
We are not 100% sure but the vet decided to give him only hydrolysed wet food.

Bizet wore the Elizabethan collar for the last day yesterday.
Why did he wear it?
Because we decided to neutered him.

❓What castration is ?

Cat castration is a procedure that removes the testicles. This takes away the reproductive ability of the cat and also a lot of the hormonal ‘maleness’.

Bizet takes steroids as well so we given a lot of care and attention.
Everything was ok and from today he doesn t need to wear the collar anymore !
He is so happy 🖤

“With inflammatory bowel disease, specific types of inflammatory cells, depending on the type of IBD, invade the wall of the stomach and/or intestines.

As inflammatory cells invade, the lining of the gastrointestinal tract thickens. This thickening makes it harder for your cat to absorb nutrients and to move food along the GI tract.”

•Bizet for example has a thickening of stomach and intestines.
We did understand that through many scans done by a gastroenterologist.

Rabbits' noses are almost constantly twitching.
They are able to smell predators nearby.

Lilli is not a friendly dog at all.
That’s why we never force a her into a greeting situation!
Most important thing is respecting a dog’s physical space and also staying calm.

🌸Being relaxed is essential.

Keep in mind: If dove have had negative experiences in the past meeting strangers or, for example, some dogs may even fear other dogs after perhaps being attacked in the past, then they learn to associate these with bad things.

The main symptoms of a food allergy in a cat include:

- Itchy skin
- Over-grooming
- Hair loss on the tummy and sides
- Abumpy, crusting skin rash
- Diarrhoea
- Vomiting

👉🏼 Bizet first symptom was vomiting.
Because of food allergies we started to investigate.
We spent much time to arrive at the point where we are now : IBD.

For Toffee and Spillo I use dry dandelion flowers from .club and they love it!!
I use that because i don’t feel 100% safe taking fresh dandelion from outside as I’m living in a city and I’m worry about herbicide or pesticide or that other animal touched it already. 😅

🌼Keep in mind it’s very important to give your bunny a gradual introduction to dandelion🌼
