Along with me on this incredible journey in the hobby, is MrsMaQ the better half, and the wee man lilMaQ. Our journey started 18 months ago after retiring our working sled dogs, as well as the arrival of the wee yin. As a pair of animal lovers and spending the last ten years trying to convince MrsMaQ to let me get "a" snake, yes singular not plural! The hobby allows us to spend time as a family, l
earning, planning, and teaching the little one, not only in animal husbandry and welfare but eventually genetics, maths, and ethics. We started raising our own feeders before we picked up our first Royal, so we could hit the ground running and be self-sufficient within our collection.
35 Royals deep, 3 racks, an incubator, and 18 months later things are in a very different place. With animal welfare at the forefront of our plans, we are working with the genes we are drawn to, looking to pave our own way, not chase trends or the next "big gene"
Starting from the beginning not only with hatchlings and yearlings, we have grown to maturity ready for our first incoming season, we have chosen to build our own combo foundation animals using quality expression single gene animals from breeders across the U.K.
