Murphy the Boxer Dog is usually out chasing his toys we throw for him and getting plenty of fuss but unfortunately he couldn't stay out for long today as they had errands to run. Nevertheless the garden service was carried out to the delight of this amazing ladies garden. Blackbird rescue update: 🪹 Going really well... he/she is now able to fly a short distance. For those that don't know, this is 'Darling' who we first thought was a starling (hence the name 😅) We had found Darling after seeing our girl Lula 🐶 carrying him gently from one area to another, not knowing what she had at the time but realised just how gentle she had been. Darling was motionless and very cold. After breathing life back into him and placing him on a hot water bottle next to the fireplace we had taken to the new task of feeding this little buddy round the clock EVERY half hour dawn to dusk for the next two weeks ! Fast forward 17 days later he now greets us every morning with his happy tippy tappy feet dance & song 😍 He has full roam of the garden during the day and is now half feeding himself. Fun Fact: Black birds spend 2/3 week's foraging on the ground with their parents intermittently coming to feed them. During this time baby will learn how to feed himself as well as fly and keep out of predators ways He has been on so many adventures with us already and it will be a sad but happy day when he finally flies the nest 🥲
