🦊 It is currently mating season for foxes. If you see a fox running across the road there may well be another following closely behind. During mating season it is not unusual for male foxes to chase away rivals and pursue females.

⚠️ Please be mindful when driving, particularly in icy conditions and especially in areas near to some of Tamworth's many nature reserves. Not only for the protection of the animal but also for the safety of you and other road users.

🌤️ It is also worth noting that foxes do not just come out during hours of darkness. They can be quite active during the daylight too.

😢 Sadly, a number of Tamworth's roads are already showing evidence of foxes having being hit. Please take care.

Our Story So Far....

Animals at Home - offering a great alternative to a kennel or cattery! We are Jeff and Donna Garratty and we live in the beautiful cathedral city of Lichfield. We share our home with our cats Meena and Timmy, and our black Labrador sisters, Jasmine and Jade.

When we started our pet care business four years ago, it was a decision driven by frustration. Finding good quality pet care when we were at work or away on holiday was always a real challenge. We believe people and their animals deserve better, so we gave up our jobs and so began our journey in professional pet care!

We became part of the Animals at Home franchise on 01 June 2016 when we began a new start-up branch in North Warwickshire. We grew it into a thriving business before selling and relocating, just so that we could do it all over again in Staffordshire.

So that we can provide the very best, safest, and most professional service possible to you and to your furry folk, we have both received professional animal training at an RCVS veterinary hospital which involves first aid, animal handling, hygiene, and pet nutrition. Each of our team members is trained, insured and DBS checked for your peace of mind, and we hold 5 star-rated animal boarding establishment licenses across all of our host families (dog home boarders).
