Help prevent Fuel Thefts:
Home:
1) try to keep storage tanks close to the property where you can see them.
2) Remember to check the oil level in your tank regularly.
3) Try to avoid installing a storage tank in a remote secluded area.
4) invest in high quality locks
5) use 'diesel dye' making your diesel traceable and less attractive to thieves.
Commercial Vehicles:
1) Locking fuel caps and anti-siphoning deterrents make vehicles less vulnerable.
2) Any drivers noticing people loitering near vehicles should note the time, date and location, as well as descriptions of people.
3) Adopt defensive parking measures, such as parking in highly visible, well-lit areas or secure compounds / lorry parks.
4)Park vehicles so that fuel tanks are as i accessible as possible.
5)DON'T MAKE IT EASY FOR THIEVES!
