Hi everyone, as a rescue we have seen dogs on lost pages that are lost through no fault, that are handed to the dog warden, who then checks the microchip of the dog and passes the dog to their designated kennel. From the moment the dog is in the dog wardens possession and money clock starts ticking, especially after 5pm and at weekends. Dogs get seven days by law, and the dog warden keeps the dog at their designated kennels, everyday incurring more charges. Some people sign their pet over to the dog warden as they cannot afford the fees, which is heartbreaking for them. We want you to help us all come together as a community and help not only the dogs but their owners.
We have set up this page to help everyone. If you find a dog, yes post on facebook, but also contact ourselves. We will come and collect the dog and take the dog to our rescue. We will check for a microchip, run that microchip to find the owner. We want to reunite the dog and their owner without paying any kennelling fees or fines from the dog warden. If the dog does not have a microchip we will post the dog on our page, do our upmost to find the owner. If no one comes forward we will inform the dog warden and keep the dog for 28 days, which we are obliged to do so by law. We will use all our pages etc to find the owner. After 28 days we will then be free to rehome the dog. We do not want to hold anyones dog longer than needs be, we will not charge a fee, we just want dogs back with their owners, or if the owner feels they can no longer care for the animal, we will rehome the dog.
We just want to give something back to the community that is supporting us, we appreciate everything you donate to help us help dogs, we really do.
