How should you switch your dog to a new food?

Dogs may need a diet change if they lose interest in their current food, develop allergies, or are diagnosed with health conditions.. A vet-recommended diet can help manage health issues, while seasonal or activity level changes may also require adjustments.

How to Transition
A slow transition over 10 days reduces the chance of digestive issues:

Transition your dog to the new food gradually over 10 days by adjusting the portions daily. Each day, decrease the old food by 10% while increasing the new food by 10% until the new food fully replaces the old.

Always follow feeding guidelines and adjust portions if giving treats, especially for working dogs. Consult your vet for dietary changes due to illness or allergies.
