As always our aviaries are stocked with a selection of parakeets ranging in price, personality and individual requirements to keep happy. Swipe ➡️ and read ⬇️
Budgies (£35) make an excellent starter bird as they are both relatively easy to keep but also offer plenty of interactivity when tamed correctly and in some cases can even learn to speak, they also have a shorter average lifespan compared to other parakeets of 7-10 years.
Cockatiels (£120) also make for great beginner-intermediate parakeets to keep with similar care requirements to budgies but requiring larger spacing and having longer lifespans of approximately 15-20 years.
Indian Ringneck parakeets (£200) are recommended for more experienced bird keepers, taming these birds can be an extremely rewarding experience as they are highly interactive and excellent talkers however require more commitment to tame and average 25-30 years of age !
Love birds (£120 a pair) should be always kept in pairs, they can be just as friendly as other parakeets but are also happy with the company of another bird so don’t require as much attention as other parakeets with lifespans of 10-15 years.

Syrian hamsters 🐹
These hamsters make for excellent pets for both new and experienced animal keepers alike as they are fairly low maintenance, requiring fresh food and water daily, a full cage clean 1-2 times a week and if handled regularly will build bonds and calm temperaments with their owners.
Their short lifespan of 2-3 years mean they are not as big as a commitment as other pets such as rabbits or birds however it is still important that if buying for yourself or a child that correct research has been done and you are going to commit to the attention and care necessary into keeping a happy and healthy hamster.
Although they appear cuddly and cute with other hamsters in store these rodents are strictly to be housed singly as they will grow territorial and begin to fight with one another as they age

These baby bunnies make for great indoor or outdoor pets and are ideal for beginner animal keepers with the correct preparation and research.
