The hospital for babies and the very sick is set up in the house. At the moment this is being used for a few hedgehogs coming from Rose whilst I am training. Plans are moving forward to convert our garage for treated/recovering hedgehogs and our aim is to have this completed by spring.

We are a new hedgehog rescue soon to open in Mid Wales. The rescue is in Llaithddu which is located approximately halfway between Llandrindod Wells and Newtown.

Until I am up and running you may want to follow Havenmore Hedgehog Rescue in Newtown where I am being trained. Rose and Richard are truely remarkable people who have run their rescue for many years. They have worked endless hours, day and night to save sick and injured hedgehogs and are now hoping to cut back and partially, retire as my rescue develops. Rose has been a motivating force in me starting Pencwm Haven and her continued support will be invaluable to me in the future.

Welsh terrier’s are claimed to be the oldest dog breed in the Uk and now are considered rare, so it was lovely to have one in my salon this week. Ginny is a confident little girl and needed no encouragement. Know for their stoicism Ginny was wonderfully calm and content throughout the whole grooming process.
