Mother Goats (aka Nannies) do NOT recognise their own Kids by sight! Instead they use a unique call and scent to distinguish their own from others!

For centuries, the young of a goat have been called kids. It wasn’t until the 1800’s that the word kid was extended to human children.

How would your children feel if they knew they’re basically being called goats all the time!? 😂🐐

Did you know Goats do NOT shed their horns, therefore you can determine the age of a goat by the growth rings.

Horns also act as a goats ‘air conditioning’ during hot weather as they help regulate their internal temperature.
