Training dogs for the Pakistan Special Forces is a demanding and rewarding process, requiring a deep understanding of both canine behaviour and military operations. To all GSD friends in Malaysia, the nation’s most anticipated GSD specialty show will be held on November 16th, 2024. We had the honor to invite Mr. Vincenzo Tantaro of Australia to be our judge this time around.

We at K9 Metropolitan Specialists are proud to announce that we have expanded our company and training to Malaysia. Not only just Malaysia, but in 3 months time, we will be operating in other countries in South and South East Asia! Tentatively, by March 2025, we will be operating in all directions of Asia!

We believe our success is rooted in the success of our people, which is great for us expanding our company to Asia because most members of our team are fluent speaking in Cantonese, Haka, Mandarin, Malay, other Asian dialects, and of course English.

Malaysia Wars Dog Have Arrived ! 🛩️🇲🇾

Upon Malaysia Army's selection last month at our K9 Met facility, all 17 dogs were put under hip joint assessment by our UK vet to ensure the dogs have functional working hips for the next 7-8 years of service. Our vet x-rays each dog and proceeds on a full health check, making sure each dog is healthy to be deployed.

As of 10th October 2024, the boys have all landed safely in the hands and the land of Malaysia Military. They have a few weeks to decompress, bond with their handler, and climatise to the weather before they begin their intense training before their deployment. In this selection, we have trained and supplied Guarding dogs to protect Jungles, heavily dense forestry, abandoned woodlands etc, and Search & Rescue dogs which will be trained to find missing alive or deceased persons on and off land.

On 9th September 2024, K9 Met had their yearly project upon them with Malaysia Army. 17 specially trained war dogs were selected by the Major and health assessed by the head veterinarian in Malaysia Military. A variety of dog breeds were available for this client's procurement.

All dogs trained and supplied by K9 Met have either had 3, 6 or 9 months of rigorous training to ensure they are ready for anything coming ahead.

Genetics. What was your dog bred for. Who they are coded deep within their DNA. If you are smart you guide it into something productive. If not, suppressing and punishing will not stop behaviours. Nature vs Nurture. They both play a role.

My advice - think of the personality of dog you want to have with you. What suits you. Then find breeds within your criteria and pick one you like the look of.

Know your breed, know the traits, know the purpose, teach them how to live with you🐾❤️
