With temperatures rising, our best furry friends are at risk of heat stroke. 🌡️ Here are the signs to look out for and ways to prevent it to keep tails wagging safely all summer long...

⚠️ Signs of heat stroke in dogs:
· Excessive panting and drooling
· Rapid heartbeat
· Bright red gums or tongue
· Vomiting or diarrhoea
· Lethargy or collapse
· Glassy eyes

🚫 How to prevent it:
✅ Always provide shade and fresh water
✅ Walk in the early morning or late evening
✅ Never leave your dog in a parked car
✅ Know your dog's limits - some breeds overheat faster
✅ Use cooling mats or damp towels to help regulate their body temperature

If you suspect heat stroke, act fast: move them to a cool place, offer small sips of water, and call your vet immediately. ⏱️🐾

It’s rather warm, isn’t it? 🥵

We recommend misting your Piddle Patch to keep it looking green and plump, but if your Piddle Patch starts to look a little dehydrated (which can happen when it's very warm!), instead of spritzing your grass, you can try providing it with a light drink a few times a week.

Don't dump lots of water onto it so that it becomes over-saturated - just enough so that it is lightly watered across the mat.
