As well as general chat about monkeys on YouTube, the mission of this page is to start a collaborative effort to help shut these abusive channels down through action such as coordinated reporting of offensive videos which breach YouTube guidelines. Although there are owners out there who are good and treat their monkeys well the vast majority sadly aren't, let's save at least some of these poor creatures from their miserable lives, wild monkeys are not designed to be pets.

Monkey Iron seems to be a new channel that's popped up at the beginning of July, as usual they have bought an already established YouTube account to monetise as fast as possible. They are doing the usual torture, today it's trying to stop him sucking his already damaged fingers, with the predicable result of him screaming and getting distressed. At Stop YouTube Monkey Abuse we're deeply concerned by the amount of new channels popping up on almost a daily basis, it's almost impossible to keep track of all of them singlehandedly and that's why we really need your help. We're hoping to compile a list of monkeys that are being abused and neglected, we need to prioritise who needs to be rescued, to find them and try and put a plan into place. As I'm sure you all can appreciate this is a very difficult and exhausting task, we constantly run into brick walls - especially in Cambodia - and are sometimes left frustrated and upset by the lack of help from authorities but we must keep trying. YouTube and Facebook are turning a blind eye to this blatant animal abuse on their sites, this needs to stop. We'd be grateful if you all could share the monkeys you all are most concerned about so we can get together a database of those at risk. Only by working together can we stop this for good. Thank you.

Well, it seems to be confirmed now in this guilt trip video that Sakor has had his monkeys taken by the WLA and it's all the fault of trolls, mostly Americans he says. Wouldn't be to do with him having them illegally, dressing them up ridiculously, keeping them caged, denying their natural instincts and whacking them with chopsticks would it? Oh lord no! 🙄 Let's hope Mona, Donna, Tulu, Prim, Elvis and Rain have a chance to have a more normal life now, as nature intended. Poor Mr Belly had a dead black necrotic finger, for days they have been dabbing at it with betadine making the poor creature scream in pain. Following on from yesterday's post we are thrilled to report that Gia Lang Tay Nguyen has had to turn in his two monkeys, Jerry and Lucy, to the authorities. It just shows that reporting these abusers is now starting to have some results, although it sometimes seems to be a huge mountain to climb given how many monkeys are suffering in captivity let's not give up hope and keep on reporting!
