- **Float Ice Packs:** Gradually lower water temperature by floating sealed ice packs or frozen water bottles.
- **Increase Circulation:** Use powerheads or extra filters to improve water circulation and oxygen levels.
- **Consider a Chiller:** Invest in an aquarium chiller for reliable temperature control in consistently hot regions.
- **Reduce Stocking:** Lower the number of fish in the tank to reduce waste and stress.
- **Monitor Temperature:** Check water temperature regularly, especially during heat waves.

Is your local pet shop lying to you and selling you fake stuff?

I met a nice guy who recently bought a tank for his son.

The tank holds about 60 liters of water. It has 6 Torpedo barbs, 8 emerald green Barbs, 4 corys catfish, 2 silver sharks, 2 Hong Kong plecs, and 1 redtail catfish.

You might be thinking, “What’s the big deal?” Well, here’s the thing: the tank still has its original filter, a Juwel Bio One, which isn’t meant to handle so many fish and their waste.

The real problem is that the pet shop guy, from a famous London aquarium/pet shop, said everything would be fine.

With so many fish and a small filter, you’d have to change the water and clean the filter every 2-3 days to keep the fish alive and the filter from getting clogged!

So, please, folks, question why the pet shop keeper is smiling so big. Are they really trying to help you or just trying to take your money?

If you are having problems in getting rid of green algae, Think of Cabomba plant.
If your aquarium gets direct sun light and your water is always green, get some Cabomba plants

HEATWAVE 🥵🔥☀️☀️☀️ advices for fish tanks

How to keep the fish tank water cool and stop your fish tank becoming a fish stew!!

-Open all doors and the windows in the room
-Have a fan blowing in the room and on the tank ideally 24/7 until the room temperature goes below 25 ° C
-Open the cabinet door of the the tank and the hood (careful with jumpy fish)
-Ice bottles can help but will need to be renew every 2-4 hours
-Have air bubbles blowing in the tank
- if you have marine or corals and do not have a chiller or air conditioning, start praying 🙏🤲

If your water temperature reached more than 29°C, you will lose fishes
