Announcing a new service - Nervous Flyers! Not every dog is thrilled at the prospect of going to a groomer, whether it's a terrible past experience, age-related nervousness or general fear and skittishness. So, I'm happy to come to you and slowly, over a matter of weeks - or however long it takes - introduce your dog to different aspects of grooming. We will go as slow as your dog wants to go and hopefully, we'll be able to break down some barriers. Prices will depend on how much (or as little) we achieve each session, starting from £10.

One of the best things about our not-very-good summer was the chance to do a few grooms outside. I loved it and I could tell that Poppy and Persey enjoyed it too. Oh well, guess it's time to head indoors for the rest of the year!

This week's Groom in Your Room guests have included a lovely return visit from Obi (who always wants a supportive hand), the gorgeous Persie and teeny weeny liddle Barbie who was just out of this world. Happy clipping!

The coat king is one of my favourite grooming tools and it's the perfect aid for double coated breeds. It pulls out the undercoat - just look how much came out of my dog Chester in one session. He's looking much less bulky, his coat feels gorgeous and he loved the process. Plus, it must feel like taking off a sweater - very handy as it finally looks like summer might actually be making an appearance. (For at least a day or two.)

WHAT A HOWL! Bailey the cavapoo made a big to-do about his groom and basically howled his way through most of it. But all was forgiven and I got lots of head scrunchies from him. Figured a mountain background would be most appropriate for all that yodelling! 😂

Lovely Rufus is 12 years old so we took it slow and gentle for his groom. He needed a big sleep after!

....AND RELAX. Getting groomed doesn't need to be stressful. Brie got super sleepy when I was brushing her out, and Bozy got super dozy during his groom. And it's just as relaxing for you too - drop them off, knowing they're in good hands. And if you're nearby in W12, I'm happy to return your little pooch back to you.

LET'S HAVE A BLAST
When you hand your doggie over to the groomers, you don't really know what they go through. So, when I was training, it was quite an eye-opener when I got to groom my own dog. Normally, Chester is very calm and collected but he freaked out in the drying room. So I was determined to make that experience as pleasant as possible for the doggies with this adjustable dryer that's not just quiet. it's also got paws! And Chester doesn't mind it at all. Hopefully your doggie won't either.

HOW STELLA GOT HER GROOVE BACK. Chester's best pal is an excitable and very loving cockerpoo who never met a puddle she didn't like. So she was the ideal candidate for my first customer. And now she can actually see who's she licking! ❤️
