H**p Seed and PSSM/MIM/MFM Myopathies
I have recently been asked if H**p Seed may help the PSSM/MIM/MFM Myopathies
I cannot say pacifically that h**p seed can help, but as these myopathies seem to sometimes respond to a high protein diet there is a possibility H**p Seed may help, although it has to be remembered PSSM/MIM etc.... are progressive myopathies that sometimes management doesn't work for all.
H**P SEEDS Are a nutritious whole food that offers high quality protein in a highly palatable form. An important aspect of h**p seed is that the protein is that of a quality source from the amino acids arginine and sulphur containing amino acids methionine and cysteine.
H**p seeds offer all ten essential amino acids in correct proportion to best be utilized by the body. H**p seeds are an excellent source of soluble fibre which means the fibre is easy to digest and helps the natural flow of food. H**p seeds are packed full of vitamins: A, B1, B3, B6, B9, B12, C. and minerals including calcium, copper, magnese, potassium, sodium, phosphrous, zinc, magnesium and iron. It is also rich in vitamin E an anti- oxidant for a healthy immune system.
H**p seed can have many benefits for animals it is full of healthy fats, proteins and various minerals h**p seed is extremely nutritious therefore it makes an excellent addition to any diet. They have the perfect ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids they have high sources of omega-6 fatty acid known as gamma linolenic acid. H**p seed is a complete protein source which means it has all the amino acids essential to a balanced diet. Complete protein sources are rare in the animal kingdom as plants often lack the amino acid lysine addition to nutrition for a healthy diet the polyunsaturated and essential fatty acids contain the perfect 3:1 ration of omega-6 to omega-3.However the oil from the H**p seed provides not only Omega 3 and Omega 6, but also Omega 9. In addition to this, h**p also contains GLA: gamma linolenic acid. GLA is an omega-6 but unlike other omega 6, GLA ‘produces anti-inflammatory prostaglandins in the body’ eg.... h**p seeds are highly anti-inflammatory.
It’s highly palatable for horses and is an effective way to add additional calories to your horses diet without making them ‘fizzy’ and as some grains would. It can assist in maintaining or increasing weight fed at higher volumes, improve muscle tone, coat and hoof health and improving joint and tendon mobility.

THE CHAMOMILE EQUINE
For the chamomile equine anxiety is processed mainly through their digestive system, they can get upset easily, almost always presenting with diarrhea or scours when nervous or worried. They may show some signs of external stress, but they will mainly internalize their worry, so while they may be a little "spooky" - the Chamomile equines main problems are in the gut.
CHAMOMILE is one of the most ancient medicinal herbs known to mankind. It is a member of Asteraceae/Compositae family and represented by two common varieties viz. German Chamomile (Chamomilla recutita) and Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile). The dried flowers of chamomile contain many terpenoids and flavonoids contributing to its medicinal properties. A pretty plant with white flowers and feathery leaves, it is also beneficial for animal health too. It has the same relaxing properties for animals as it does a human, soothing both the nervous and digestive systems. This is particularly relevant for animals who are of an anxious nature and/or produce loose droppings.
TriAminos contains the three most essential amino acids Lysine, Methionine and Threonine. These essential amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Amino acids can only be obtained through the diet in quantities to meet the bodies requirements as they cannot be synthesized by the body in sufficient quantities.
