Let’s admit it, we’ve all been there 😂 Seamus was the type of dog that ignored recall as soon as there was a good smell or another dog. He finds his environment incredibly reinforcing and I felt like I was constantly battling against it. I made loads of excuses when he blew me off instead of analysing what I was doing wrong. In the first clip I called him three times, you’ll see him look up and go back to his sniff and then when he decides he wants to come towards me he just flys right past me 🤦‍♀️

Fast forward to now and our recall is solid around all kinds of distractions and smells, even bi***es in season 🤯 Thanks to a clear communication and reinforcement system I’m no longer fighting against his environment I’m working with it, making our walks so much more peaceful.

Hey, I’m Lara and this is my dog Seamus, a working line Labrador💛

I got him because I wanted a high drive dog that would be able to thrive in a variety of environments whether it is Central London or the Irish countryside.

When I moved to London from a much quieter Ireland I really struggled in the busy London parks due to the sheer number of out of control dogs, Seamus was attacked and my walks just became unenjoyable. I felt I didn’t know how to advocate for my dog and best prepare him for the craziness of London life. This is when I reached out to Kate. Thanks to support from Kate () and introducing a training system to Seamus that allowed us to understand eachother and communicate effectively, we are now able to take on any London park (or anywhere in the world!) as a team and my walks are enjoyable again.

I am now super excited to put my learning into practise with assisting you and your dogs on their training journeys by offering structured Walk and Trains navigating London life.
