Who remembers Ramsey? Our very sweet long-term stray who was found in terrible condition. His coat was so matted he couldn’t move and we found out that he had heart failure.
We wanted to give this boy a chance at some happiness after everything he’d been through and an end of life foster place was found for him with some very special people. ❤️

Look at the boy now! He’s very fluffy and even has a magnificent ruff of fur. He’s very happy with his people and has nice chats with them. 🥹 we’re so pleased for him. His heart condition can’t be cured but it is being managed and although we’ve had to increase his medication, he’s currently nice and stable. We want to give him the best hospice care we can so he’s eating special renal food 3 times a day! unfortunately he’s now eaten all of the stash of renal food sachets that we had and it’s pretty expensive for us. If you are able to donate something to this lovely old boy we would be very grateful and so would Ramsey.
Any donation that you make for him will be spent on his renal food. Thank you on behalf of the little chatterbox 🙏

We need fosterers! 🙏
We are in need of foster homes for all our cats but especially mums and kittens as it’s been a busy summer with many rescues. We also have little families that need to be moved from their current foster homes as their lovely humans are going away.
It’s a really fun and very rewarding thing to do and a great experience watching them grow and develop. We will give you all the support you need, so please get in touch and fill in the form if you would like to be a fosterer! 🫶

This Black Cat Appreciation Day we’re celebrating cats like three-month-old Pablo, who has been adopted as the official practice cat at Sheffield Vets4Pets Millhouses after he was brought in as a stray with a broken leg.

When Pablo was brought into the practice by a worried member of the public who had found him with a broken leg, he quickly captured the hearts of the whole team. After a successful surgery to fix his leg and an unsuccessful search for any owners, student vet nurse Jasmine volunteered to take him into her home, where he is now recovering.

Jasmine said: “I used to foster cats for the RSPCA, and we would see so many black cats which were left behind or were the last to be adopted. There’s an old superstition that they are bad luck, but they’re just as beautiful and friendly as any other cat. From the moment Pablo came in he was such a happy boy with the loudest purr– even with a broken leg. We’re so happy with how the operation went and he’s now recovering at my home, although keeping him still while he’s healing has been quite the challenge!”

In many cultures Tortoiseshell cats are considered lucky, and you’ll need that luck to get Peggy out of her cat tunnel.
She’ll have a lot to say about it because - hello - “tortietude”- but you should overlook that because her foster family say she’s a total babe who loves hanging out with them and likes to snooze on their bed.
Peggy is a tripaw having lost a leg from an injury when she was younger but it doesn’t bother her and she loves stalking and playing with her toys. Peggy came to us with her kittens and now needs her own home and TLC.
A tripaw Tortie is a very special cat indeed so please call Peggy’s people to chat about a home for her if you need some luck in your life 🍀

Little Riley has a couple of requests. First of all she would like a forever home with some cardboard boxes please. After being abandoned this sweet, friendly girl deserves all the boxes! Secondly, she would like you to help us out with a small favour. Facebook is not helping us to reach people recently and our posts are not being seen. This means our cats and kittens that are patiently waiting for a home are not being helped. 😿 Please can you share our posts and let people know about our little Branch. Honey’s kitten brothers Nitro and Giant are also looking for a home! They can be rehomed together or separately; although together it is double the cuteness and entertainment. These little Tuxies are very friendly and affectionate and love attention. They’re also really good at posing for pics together, which is important. 😊

This munchkin was found in a garden with her mum and the rest of the litter, fending for themselves. 💔 It’s time for a nice home to adopt her now and enjoy listening to her chirping. Possibly our laziest foster cat; Black Jack… we’d like to say it’s because of the warm weather but this is just how he exercises most of the time. Why move more than you need to? Is there a fellow floor-ping-pong fan out there for him? Look at him 😍 he’s ridiculously polite and always passes the ball back for you.

Our team had a fantastic morning raising money for animals at Sutton Car Boot Sale every Wednesday. The sun was shining for us at last and we managed to raise £264.35. Thank you to our volunteers and the event organiser Jay for accommodating us and for a warm welcome. The money raised will go towards treating the many animals we have in our care at the moment 😸

Black Jack is fuming that he hasn’t been fed for 10 mins and now needs to waste his precious time plotting suitable revenge.

If you would like to be reminded of all your failings as a human on a daily basis, then the good news is that Black Jack is still looking for a home. Anyone with already low self esteem perhaps shouldn’t apply. 🫶

They are tired of the cats getting all the attention.

If you or someone you know is looking for a pair of beautiful English Spot bunnies then point them in our direction! We have a bonded pair of (we presume), sisters, and they love to cuddle up together.

They were signed over to RSPCA so we don't know too much about their background, but they are young (around 12 months) and both friendly, cheeky and extremely inquisitive little characters. Like all rabbits they will need a large, safe space to explore and let loose in as they have bundles of energy. They're currently living very happily in a large outdoor enclosure in foster care but they need a forever home asap!

Angel is small and mighty and definitely the boss and Luna seems happy with that! 😂

They are both neutered, chipped and vaccinated. And adorable. Please - you won’t regret it! 🐰🐰

Do you like sleeping? Do you want a cat that also likes sleeping and looks adorable at the same time? Charlie could be your cat. She’s looking for a home where she can occasionally play but mostly sleep and look adorable, and those are all her needs met. ❤️ She's funny and chatty and loves company and lots of affection. And sleeping.
Charlie came to us with one of the worst skin conditions we’ve ever seen but with vet care and lots of love and attention from her fosterer she now looks like a different cat. She’s a very gentle little bean and would like someone to sleep next to on the sofa.

We need your help with the three beautiful black cats in our care who’ve all been on here before. Jade, Stephen & Black Jack. We’ve had very little interest in them even though they are three lovely, quirky cats and they would really like a forever home.
Black cats are harder to rehome than any other as people don’t find them photogenic or pretty enough. 😔 All three are adored by their foster families and we’re asking for your help to find all three a deserving home. Could one of them be your new friend?
Jade is only a year old and is our chatty and playful girl who deserves a home of her own after already having a litter and bringing up four kittens.

Black Jack is the one who behaves like a dog and waits for his people to come home, which is remarkable after the really tough life he had for 8 years, surviving on his own up to the point he was finally rescued

And then Stephen “Stevie” who is a proper character; complex but very affectionate when he wants to be and like most men, likes things on his terms only. 😂 He loves his feather toys and has really blossomed in foster care.

Please don’t overlook them if you are looking for a cat in your life 💔 and please share their stories and let us know if you have a special mini panther in your home. These guys need some positivity and love thrown their way and hopefully a new family.🙏 please take a look at them…
