We had a nice lady contact us after a problematic grooming experience elsewhere. I have to be honest it was a bit of a shock to see her. Both her and the dog needed help. We assumed the wee one may have been problematic but she was handled and tested with clippers are was quite calm. Olga felt she could help her and work with her, with lots of gentle care and breaks. There was so much to do. Plus the lady needed a lot of advice to help her understand what her baby needs as a home care routine. That is as much a part of grooming as the actual groom itself. The groomers needs to help you learn and understand your responsibilities too. We now will all work together and establish a relationship with both the dog and the owner to ensure she lives her best life. We've 'restarted' her. She returns Saturday just for cuddles and a nail clip, then in 4 weeks for a bath. She will get used to being handled without it being too much. Then we will settle her in to a regular grooming schedule and she will blossom as she deserves to. A darling dog. It's crucial puppies have fun in their first few grooms as you want them to grow up enjoying the experience.
