So as much as we are loving this solid ground and the beautiful backdrop of frost and frosty dog rolls ❄️🐶
We do also need to think about our elderly and more vulnerable dogs,as the temperatures aren’t set to rise much more than 0 deg,we may need to shorten our group walks today to make sure they are safe in these frozen temperatures,we apologise in advance if this may effect your dogs walk who may be ok with these temperatures,but we need to make sure all dogs are happy and safe 🥰 any problems or worries,please let us know 🧡

KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE THIS NEW YEARS EVE! 🎆❌

This week, many will celebrate the start of the new year. We truly hope everyone has a wonderful time!

But unfortunately for our pets, New Years Eve is one of the most stressful days of the year for one main reason..

There will be many firework displays. They are loud (much louder even for dogs than for humans) and very scary for many animals and it can cause them to become distressed, disoriented and go into flight mode.. that means run.

New Years Day is one of the worst days of the year for missing pets. Please, do not let your pet be one of them! ❌

No, they don’t want to go and see the fireworks with you. And no, they don’t want to go for a walk either when there are fireworks around. Keep them home. Keep them safe ❤️

FIREWORK SAFETY TIPS FOR YOUR PETS 🎆

1️⃣ STAY HOME

Keep your pets secure at home. Do not let them outside unattended and do not attempt to walk them. If you can stay home with them, even better - they feel safer with you

2️⃣ GIVE THEM A SAFE SPACE

Create a cosy safe space or den when they feel comfortable and secure

3️⃣ MASK THE NOISE

Make sure you have background noise like the TV or radio. There are great playlists designed specifically to calm pets!

4️⃣ KEEP THEM DISTRACTED

Keep your pets busy so they don’t focus on what is scaring them. A lick mat, treat ball, sniff mat, new toy… try and make the experience as nice for them as possible 🧡

Fireworks can be terrifying for all animals—especially dogs. They don’t understand it’s a celebration; all they hear are loud explosions. 🎆

Did you know?
👉 Dogs can hear sounds up to 60,000 Hz, while humans can only hear up to 20,000 Hz.
👉 Fireworks can reach 120+ decibels, but dogs can only tolerate up to 75 decibels before it becomes overwhelming.

Another amazing year we’ve had at Dogue Walks 🥰🧡
We’ve finished today feeling incredibly grateful for all of the lovely gifts we’ve received and even more grateful that we got to spend the year with the most amazing dogs ❤️
We have gained some new faces who have joined the Dogue Walks crew🧡 but we have also unfortunately said goodbye to a few of our best furry friends😔 We still think of them everyday and we know they are filling doggy heaven with so much joy and love👼🏼🧡
Thank you so much to each and every one of you for your support this year, we are feeling very blessed 🧡
