We had a great morning walk down Toton sidings with cockapoo Bella and the gang and after lunchtime I took a few for a walk down the river Trent to Cranfleet lock to have a drink for an end of life celebration gathering. We had a few stops on the way back from the lock to Long Eaton. Tommy the Staffy, that have walked for several years was living with Howard until a few months ago before his health suffered and Tommy went to stay with his son, Martin and Family. We are still walking Tommy most days.
Howard was a real character and will be sadly missed in the local areas of Erewash. He was a keen Sailor and loved his boats and was a big part of the local yacht club.

We had a group of 8 dogs out this morning.
It was Absolutely lovely weather as we parked at tennis courts and walked up the Toton sidings and back around the lanes.

We parked at Toton tram stop and walked up the hill along the track that runs parallel with the A52 and into Bramcote woods before returning down the hill. Today was Bella, Tommy, Tipsy and Toobie.

Toton Sidings and after walking the Two Labradors Bentley and Eva ( out front) for 2 months with lots of recalls and rewarding training with treats we are now happy to have them of the leads in the right surroundings meaning they get more freedom and a better walk.

With all the rain overnight we chanced our look down the river Trent and round Spring lakes and it wasn’t to bad. Great to see the spaniels having a good time as ever.

One of our longer walks around somewhere different today. I planned a 6 mile walk while Mark and a thousand runners ran a properly organised half marathon around the water. Myself and the impatient dogs decided to go before the 10.am runners so we followed the reservoir circular trail. Just over 8 miles in total with a time of 2 hours 15 minutes so not bad going. Mark ran a half marathon in 1 hours 56 minutes. ( his first under 2 hours) Definitely a lovely scenic walk despite being very muddy so highly recommended. Tipsy, toobie and Polly will all sleep well tonight 🏃‍♂️

Tipsy found a brand new toy in the river Trent. As ever we had a great walk round spring lakes with Polly, Tommy, Bentley, Eva and the Bernese twins.

We have parked at the tennis courts and done the hour walk up to the railway siding and back down the fingers. Bella the Cockapoo is giving the others a good run around.

Bella the 8 year old Bernese is struggling with the hour walks these days while she has a leg injury and is getting in her twilight years as an older lady. She still wants to go and wags her tail when it’s time for her morning walk. With the right conditions she comes along and has a small walk and then waits in the van while her freinds have their hour walk. It’s not ideal but It’s keeping her mentally stimulated and she isn’t being left out. We are always happy to accommodate most situation’s to keep you and your pets happy.

Something a bit different today. Mark was doing a Rassel bock run around the woods. He was doing four circuits of 3.6 miles and it was and open route so I tagged along and walked the dogs two circuits. Absolutely beautiful up here. Good fun and there was just under a thousand runners in attendance. The very hardcore was running 9/10 circuits. 🏃‍♂️

Myself and Mark out with the the gang this morning minus Bella, one our Bernese mountain dogs that is resting up after a slight leg injury. Odd days or everyday availability and we always make sure the dogs get a great walk. With there being 2 of us we can be flexible meaning you won’t be let down. A single operator can’t guarantee this.

We Had 45 walk around the fields and then gave Polly some free time of a lead to run in the tennis courts today. Many of our regular walks should be back on when the floods water gets back to normal. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Out in the woods today and we managed to Dodge most of the rain. We found a newly fallen tree, I’m guessing a victim of yesterday’s storm. We are available over the Christmas and new year period so book us in if you are stuck or going out for a day.

Great to see Little Hugo joining us on our woodlands walks today. We walked just under 9500 steps in 85 minutes.

I had to take this of the gang today as they was arguing over it after one of the twins found it in the woods. I Can’t be entirely sure what animal it was.

Polly is helping us to keep up with the others as we climb this long hill today. We offer good walks meaning your dog will be settled and much calmer when we drop them back.
