We are holding another microchipping event this time, at Vets4Pets Sprowston Norwich!

Join us and Lost and Found Cats in Norwich on 11th March between 10am and 3pm and get your cats, dogs and rabbits microchipped for only £5!

Firework season can be a distressing, and even dangerous, time for many cats. Here’s how to keep your cat calm and safe during the months when fireworks are most prevalent.

We strongly recommend keeping your cats inside during the evenings in firework season, with any cat flaps locked and a litter tray provided.

Plan accordingly. Many of the measures outlined below are most effective when introduced in advance.

Invest in diffusers or sprays, which release calming pheromones to help ease your cats' anxiety.

Maintain a normal routine - don't fuss over your cat too much, as you'll reinforce the feeling that something is wrong.

Create a den for your cat, somewhere he or she can hide and feel safe and protected. Provide lots of other hiding places around the home, including in high spots, as cats feel safest when they are up high. Even cardboard boxes can be effective for this. (We all know how cardboard boxes work for cats)

Draw the curtains, close all windows, and put the TV or radio on low to help drown out the noise.

Try to be home on the evenings when fireworks are most prevalent. Your cat may find your presence reassuring.

Remember to have your cat microchipped If the fireworks do cause your cat to run away, this will greatly increase your chances of being reunited.

I’m Kelly, and am a proud cat mum to 5 rescue cats 🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛. I absolutely love ❤️ animals and have lived with cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, chickens and fish my whole life. I’ve been lucky enough to own cats for the past 17 years and in that time have sampled all sorts of weird and wonderful behaviour, as well as dealing with the regular ‘presents’. 🐀

If you are unfamiliar with cat sitting and are planning on going away, rather than change your cats routine by booking them into a cattery, I can take care of all your cats needs by offering regular visits to your cat(s) in their home environment.

My Service Covers:
Feeding and water change
Litter box clean or change
Cat playtime and cuddles (if they want it)
Photo updates
Plants watered and bins taken out

I am located just outside of Long Stratton in Norfolk, my standard charge of £8 per visit applies within a 3 mile radius, a supplementary charge may be added for visit outside of this area to cover additional travel costs.

About Bookings:
When you book my services for the first time I will need to book an initial visit in advance of the booked dates - this first meeting is free of charge and I will visit your home, complete paperwork, meet your cat(s) and find out where everything is kept and how your cats like things to be done.

I do not book pet care visits into my diary until I have received confirmation that you would like to book my services for specified dates.

An additional charge is payable for visits that take place on Bank Holidays, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Payment is required by cash, PayPal or bank transfer. Cancellations can be made without any charge up to 48 hours before the first visit of a booking is due.
