I am about to do something totally unprofessional and something I have never done in 14 years of running the Cattery, HAVE A RANT!!! But I am so hurt and angry. This morning a customer arrived to collect two cats who had been stay a few weeks to take them for their booster injections. This person had been accommodated previously outside our opening hours to visit the cats and I had even offered to help look for a foster family as they weren’t sure they could keep the cats. Today they arrived mid morning where we had a queue to of customers and Sarah offered them to go and collect the cats themselves. Now bear in mind all cats are fed at 7-30am and then cleaning commences around 8-30 am till it is finished. Sarah explained that the cats pen had not been cleaned this morning as she was starting at the other end of the Cattery but fresh water and biscuits had been done. Said customers” then complained that the cat litter was insufficient, it is 3inches deep and that the bedding has cat hair on it and there was cat hair on the floor. It was again explained that cats were moulting and that when the pen was cleaned it would all be rectified. In returning with the cats (out of hours) they then started telling me about the state of the pen and I had just had enough. I said would she like to view the finished pens now cleaning had finished but she said she had no interest. So for the first time ever I asked her to take the cats elsewhere!! 🤦‍♀️ Apparently I am confrontational and can’t take criticism!! She don’t believe I have ever been confrontational to a customer in my live and Have always gone out of my way to accommodate everyone and keep the Cattery as spotless as it’s possibly can be kept. Now that feel bad but honestly I work up to 70 hours a week and sometimes you just have to say enough! Anyway I am including a video shot 10 minutes after the cats left showing the condition of the pens once we have been given opportunity to clean them.

No wonder I get nothing done, if it’s not cats sat on my diaries it Geese I the dinning room 🤣
