While we might be enjoying this gorgeous weather its not always the same for
Our furry friends. Here are some tips from the blue cross to help keep them safe in this heat.

Dogs can overheat easily as they can’t sweat through their skin. They rely on panting and releasing heat through their paw pads and noses to keep cool. Our advice will help you keep your dog cool in hot weather.

Lexi is a 16 years young King Charles Cavalier. Grooming senior dogs requires even more patience and care to ensure they are as comfortable as possible.

Senior dogs can’t stand on their legs for any length of time so regular breaks have to be taken and accommodated for within the appointment time.

The priority of the groom is about providing welfare and comfort for the dog and the goal is to ensure that they get the care they need and leave with an easily manageable coat.

This helps with preventing the need for a lot of brushing and bathing at home, as dogs get older it’s harder for them to clean themselves and stay clean.

Lexi definitely took full advantage of her break times by drifting off to sleep on the grooming table and in the bath while being massaged with shampoo 🥰🐾
