My name is Leah-Marie and my hopes for this project is to help those who feel lost to see not they are not alone. I would like to spread awareness on the struggles and challenges in which they or you may face daily.
I am creating an art project inspired by Frank Warrens ‘Post Secrets’ project in 2004. The idea is to promote mental health awareness in an anonymous art form covering all over the world. I invite you to participate and express your innermost thoughts, feelings and daily battles about any problems that you may have to cope with.
Thus , I would like those who wish to participate to write their thoughts and feelings on an envelope. I chose the envelope as everyone has access to these no matter the situation. This may written on the side of an envelope which can be (any age, colour, texture or size)
Post it to Monty Smith, 4-7 Bennington Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 4ED. These will then be compiled into greater piece of work. If you wish to write accompanying copy, please do so and place inside your envelope. You may send as many envelopes as you would like there is no limits.
The only criteria are that this is the truth about how you are feeling/ and the challenges you are facing. Everything is ANNOYMOUS!
