📮POSTAGE UPDATES📮

I've been made aware that some businesses have been having issues with packages going missing with Royal Mail.

Royal Mail are my go to postage company, however I also want to ensure that all of my customers are getting their items, so going forward there will be some minor changes to postage:

📮All items sent via royal mail will now be sent TRACKED ONLY. Whilst this is more expensive, I would much rather items are received, because whilst I will happily refund/replace missing items, I am also a small business and with some companies having multiple parcels going missing, in the long term this would not be cost effective for me.

📮All customers will also now get to choose which company their parcels are sent through. Obviously this will have a range of postage options, so when placing an order please specify which postage company you would like to use so the correct postage fee can be given.

📮As always, if you would like to save money on postage, please speak to me about The Open Box policy. Not only does this allow you to spread the cost of your items, but it also means they can all be shipped at once, saving on both packaging and postage fees

It's a pay-as-you-go option that we offer to help you spread the cost!

Simply message us to open your box, and then add items as you go! Your box will be kept open for 6 weeks, and after 6 weeks it will be automatically closed ready to be posted. You can request an additional extension of up to 4 weeks.

All items must be paid for at the time of purchase (including custom orders) in order to be added to your box. Postage Fees also apply, but by opening a box with us, it means you will only be paying one postage fee for all the items you buy within your 6 week timeframe!

Sniff, Sniff...oh this smells good!

Have you ever wondered why dogs Sniff so much? And how it benefits them?

When out walking your dogs, they will often stop to smell their surroundings, that old Lamppost, a rock, that tree at the end of your road they always spend a good few minutes at getting a good whiff.

When they are sniffing, dogs intake a multitude of information just sniffing alone. They can pick up information such as a dogs gender, if they are ill, in heat, if they are spayed/neutered, aswell as if any other animals or people have been in the area.

Not only that, but by sniffing they can locate really good smells, and unfortunately fox p**p is one of those smells!🦊

Sniffing is beneficial to dogs as it provides mental stimulation, something which aids in tiring your dog out and their mental development.

So when you're out on your next walk, let them have a good ole Sniff!👃

Lets Talk Grooming!

For many breeds, grooming can be a key and essential part of their care and maintenance. Whilst all breeds do require some levels of grooming, some take alot more than others.

Labradors, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Dalmatians, Boxers and other short coated breeds, would not require as much grooming as say a Poodle, Bichon Frise, Husky or other long/double coated breeds.

This is why it is really important to research grooming requirements when looking at offering a home to a dog, be it a rescue or from a breeder. Grooming is a great way of checking your dog over for injuries, burs, grass seeds, lumps and bumps. It also exposes your dog to being handled regularly.

So what happens if you don't groom your dog?

For any short, smooth haired breed, you could see a dusty coat, possibly some coat build up during shedding, but nothing that could be considered harmful. However, it is still recommended to check your dog regularly for issues mentioned above.

In dogs with long coats, double coats, curly coats, dirt will build up over time, and coats can become matted or pelted. Matting can be harmful as matts will cause tension on the skin, which can be painful and lead to bruising. Matting on the ears can also lead to Haematomas, which can require surgery in serious cases.

The dog pictured below, has not been groomed correctly, and as a result, has become so matted that their coat is clipping off as one whole piece.

So, in conclusion, when researching breeds, ensure to learn about their coat maintenance. Speak with your groomer about the best grooming tools and techniques to use at home, and keep a regular grooming schedule, especially if you are wanting to maintain a specific trim.

Another price list for you!

These are some of the bundles we have available for our treat range, all with a variety of different proteins. All treats are dehydrated and 100% natural with no additives or nasty chemicals used.

If your dog has any allergies, please let us know and we can substitute any of the proteins for a different one within the bundle price.

Here is our revised price list for our breeder bundles! Each bundle is named after a breed of dog that represents the size of the bundle. These bundles are the perfect start to puppy packs, and all bundles purchased will come with a 20% off voucher that you can place in your puppy packs for new owners to use on our page.

All tuggies and bandanas come in a small size as standard, however these can be changed to larger sizes if required. All vouchers will be sent via email so you can print off as many as required. It is recommended to order any bundles at least 3/4 weeks before puppies are due to go home to ensure all items are ready and posted in time for them leaving

When I would cry You really thought your kisses would take away the tears, And when you saw they couldn't You decided to curl up in my lap until the tears stopped It didn't matter what I did or didn't do, you were there. Even on the days I don't think I'll make it through, I know you are at home waiting for me, You are at our home. Despite what happened If I was gone for 5 minutes or 5 hours You jump and squeal with excitement the exact same way. I am now saddened by the people that don't see the gift we have in dogs Because you, my boy, Are not only my friend, But my best friend. And you, my boy, Will always have whatever spot you want on our bed. Because I recognise the agonising truth that while I am your entire life, You will only be here for a portion of mine.
