So poor old NARLA and HUDSON (est under 2 years) were unceremoniously dumped in a ladies garden with this note. They love each other but do not like other cats which is making life very difficult as the lady has a few cats of her own. The rescue is at bursting point. He is not phased by any other cats at all and is currently playing 'daddy' to 3 young semi feral kittens. He will require safe outdoor space as he is unlikely to be happy as an indoor only cat. LUCKY came to us as a very frightened stray but now is trusting his foster mum for cuddles. He will require patience but will eventually transfer his love to you. He does have calicivirus which means he must be an indoor only cat and must be an only cat (unless you already have a cat with calicivirus). He is fine at the moment and may or may not have future flare ups but this is easily treated with antibiotics which the rescue will help with so don't let this put you off. JO JO needs a home. Sadly he is FIV positive. He is a lovable little guy although doesn't pose well for photos.

FIV is not something to be frightened of. Normally we recommend an indoor only home, just because their immune systems are weakened. Cats with FIV can live fulfilling and happy lives like any other cats, and can live for many years, often without harmful symptoms.

FIV isn't easily transmitted between cats (only through deep bites and not via sharing food and other normal interaction).

FIV can't be transmitted to humans or other non-feline animals.
