We are a small stud established in the early 1970's by Miss Avril Darnton breeding registered New Forest ponies in the heart of the New Forest

Rodlease Toreador -dam Rodlease Jubilation,sire Bullhill Major now 6 years old. As a yearling he was the rangey type with an underdeveloped neck and as a 2 yr old looked like a teenage boy with the usual growth spurts in all the wrong directions. We sold him as a 2 yr old saying that he would be a lovely pony by the time he was 6. His buyers proved to be the perfect home with the patience and knowledge for a young pony. These pictures show that he has proved our predictions to be correct and he is also the absolute spitting image of his dam. Many thanks to his owners for the photos

Rodlease Gemini (Rodlease Celebration x Bullhill Major) in for a little bit of halter practise before being microchipped tomorrow. She was perfect with loading too and being closed in the partitioned trailer with her mum ready to move fields later this week

Our most recent filly (Rodlease Celebration x Bullhill Major) has plenty of spunk for a week old-the other filly is 8 weeks old

Rodlease Night Watchman-by Bullhill Major out of Rodlease Celebration showing some lovely movement.

Rodlease Nightwatchman had some loading practise today-hard to believe it was his first time-which made filming quite difficult!!

We thought that Rodlease Night Watchman had gone a bit shy not having been in for a while. However once in he soon remembered his ABC!! Available at weaning-his full brother is licenced and in France doing well,and his yearling full brother was chosen for the Futurity scheme. He will grow to approx 138cms but could go bigger as Rodlease Major Tom measures nearer to 14 hhs age 3-pictures on this page.

Short snippet of Carmen in trot-not the best as I was using my phone to film and it was her first time on the lunge!! Nor is it a spot I would usually lunge!

Rodlease Guardsman learning about picking up feet

We weaned Guardsman yesterday. He has been very good and paid attention quite nicely to learning his ABC today. Although he is studbred we have done very little with him before weaning but throughout he has been a fast and easy learner. Today was a new challenge with no 'mum' around and having been cooped up in the stable for 36 hours on his own

Playtime! We had Guardsman up near the garden yesterday to entertain visitors-he is quite a charactar!

While awaiting the farrier for a trim Rodlease Carmen was keen to assist with Ragwort pulling Two year old filly -sire Bullhill Major,dam Rodlease Jubilation.
