We are offering the chance to screen your dog or cat for worms free of charge until the end of June (registered clients only). You can use this free service to see if your current worming regime is effective or if you haven't wormed your dog or cat, do you need to. Just follow the simple steps below:
1. Collect a sample pot from our Lyndhurst reception
2. Return the pot with a small sample of fresh faeces (same day if possible) before the end of June.
3. We will contact you with the results.

URGENT HOME REQUIRED FOR MONTY
Monty is a lovely 16 year old Parsons Terrier. He is grieving at the moment having very recently lost his much loved owner and is looking for a new home with someone kind and caring. He loves people but is not keen on other dogs and cats and would need a home where he is the only pet. He would probably not be suitable to be placed with children as he is not used to being around them but would make a lovely companion pet.
He is neutered and up to date with his vaccinations however he suffers with arthritis and poor dental health. He is partially sighted and going deaf but still likes to go on short walks on the lead and can be playful. He does have the occasional toileting accident. he is affectionate and needs the company of someone who is home most of the time as he does suffer from separation anxiety.

📢 Saturday Opening Hours

We have unfortunately had a deceased black and white female cat handed in to our totton practice we think she's was about 14 years old , she is chipped but unfair the details are nit up to date, she was found on Lyndhurst Road, Cadnam. On Wednesday 20th September our Lyndhurst branch will be closed from 12pm.

Our phones will be answered by our Totton branch for the afternoon, if you need to speak with us please call as normal and we will assist from there.

Unfortunetley collecting medication or food will not be available from our Lyndhurst branch on Wednesday afternoon from 12pm.

Normal service will resume on Thursday 21st September from 8am.

Dog has now been taken to seadown hythe

We have had a lost dog brought into us this afternoon, if you think they could be yours please call us on 02380282358.
We will need to see proof of ownership before releasing them.

Over Easter we will be closed from 7pm Thursday 6th April, until 8am Tuesday 11th April, in order to give our team a well-deserved break.

Our emergency out of hours provider, Vets Now, will be available over the entire Easter bank holiday. Call our normal number, 02380 282358, and select option 1, this will transfer your call to Vets Now.

This is Alfie. He came into the clinic recently with an uncomfortable right eye. Alfie had the very small tip of a thorn in his cornea. With the help of some sedation, local anaesthetic and a bit of magnification, the thorn was carefully removed from the eye and placed under the practice microscope for a closer look- pictured here X40. Alfie's owner is tempted to buy Alfie some goggles for the next time he decided to dart through the undergrowth!

We would like to wish all our lovely clients and pets a very merry Christmas and a happy & healthy 2023. Thank you for your support of Midforest Vets this year. We know how lucky we are to have such a great clientele.
The Lyndhurst clinic will close a bit earlier than usual today and tomorrow at 5pm and will be closed on Christmas Eve. Our Totton clinic will be open until 7pm today and tomorrow and until 12.00 on Christmas Eve for any urgent concerns.
Be extra careful with the chocolates and Christmas cake!
