Welcome to the page!
I am excited to be starting this journey. I will be recording every week our progress so please if you're new to dog training please join us, where I'll practice the training tools/actions I've learnt from youtube from Zak George youtube channel.
I'm already Mum to a cat, a beautiful tortoiseshell, two guineapigs, two unique boys and Jack, my baby boy Rabbit. But for a number of reasons I need a dog in my life and I've already found the perfect pooch!
Don't be shy, please check out our progress as time goes on. I will explain everything and highlight our lessons learnt.
Potty training will be crucial and I'm ready to embrace all puppy life will throw at me.
He's a Bedlington Terrier x Whippet and gentle as a lamb. Alexa is dog savvy and loyal, she will still live with me when I get a dog and even though she will have her reservations, over time they'll be good in each others company because I've grown up with rescue springer spaniels and a collie and they are the hardest breeds of dog to have because they are silly and don't back down from a fight mostly.
This time around I'll be able to shape my dog into a loveable lap dog.
I'm going to isolate myself for a year, no drinking just smoking and fizzy water.
Training and exercising my dog when hes had his vaccinations.
Just listening to music/watching tv/youtube/spending time with my babies.
Introducing the dog to the guineapigs and getting him well-behaved around them so he understands to do the same with Alexa.
Its all a question of fate. I was going to call my dog Shadow but theres two boys available and Spike suits both the dogs so I'll leave it up to fate, will love either dog with all I've got.
But it will be time to embrace independence and be a free spirit away from my parents which will be sad but I'm 31 year old woman, even though I might be disabled and vulnerable its the very reason I need a dog because I have been hugely abused by most people and bullied and a dog would be a way of me fitting into the village I live in.
I am nervous my cat will be affected by this decision quite a bit but I have a good relationship with her and she'll trust me to keep her safe.
I think when she meets the dog she'll be less phased than when she met the Beagle as Spike is only a small dog.
