The weather is going to be pretty wild over the coming day so please take extra care of your hounds and check fences/gates before letting them out. Stay safe everyone!

Markoski (born approx Dec 2023) is a very handsome young male lurcher with a personality to match his good looks! Since his rescue from the pound he has proved to be a wonderful, friendly and happy boy who loves people and other dogs alike.
Markoski enjoys a run and a play with other dogs, likes to get out and about but is equally happy to chill. He walks well on the lead, travels well and is clean in his kennel.
This lad will make a super family pet so please contact us if you think he could be your next best friend.

Ted ( born Jan 2020) is an archetypal wimpy male greyhound. He loves people he knows and trusts, wagging and pawing for fuss as he is eager to please but he can back away or freeze if anyone or anything perturbs him. He would like a quiet, patient home with a garden. He would like to live with a dog which is comfortable in its own skin to provide reassurance as he grows in confidence. He would not like to live with children or cats. He would hate to live near a school or other noisy area. He would suit someone who works as he can be left for reasonable periods of time but cannot cope with laminate floors. He is neutered and microchipped. If you have everything Ted needs, please get in touch about adoption and you will have the most amazing boy when he comes out of his shell a liitle more.

Quote - homed - unquote! Rosie (was Quote) has decided that she wants to stay with her foster family, her big brother and sister and all her toys. It's been a long journey for this wee girl, but her Mum and Dad are in it for the long haul and will continue to encourage those baby steps.

We are so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Bess. Our thoughts are with her family. They say:
Bess (formerly Bective Bianca) adopted May 2019. Sadly we didn’t have her long enough and lost her to bone cancer on Monday 25 November 2024.
Bess also known as Bessie, Boo, Boobie… was a shy gentle loving pup. She’d had a rough start but came to love us and her big brother Otis. She remained wary of strangers but ruled the roost at home, never failing to push Otis (who was at least 8 kgs heavier than her), out of her way when it came to food, treats, or getting ready for a walk at the front door.
She loved routine and would soon let you know if you deviated from the usual walk or didn’t cross the road at the normal spot.
We are so deeply sad at the sudden loss of her, a beautiful cheeky little shadow who kept us in sight. Such a privilege to have had her in our lives and just wish it had been much longer.
Much missed by Lynne, Sarah and Otis xx

Tweedledum (born approx August 2024) is a male lurcher puppy, who had a poor start in life and was cruelly dumped along with his sister Tweedledee (see separate post). He is doing well in rescue and is proving to be a solid, well-rounded puppy who is learning to walk on a lead.
Due to his young age it is likely he could live with children, other dogs and cats, with sensible supervision.
Adopting a puppy takes patience, perseverance and a sense of humour and would need someone around most of the time so please contact us if you can provide the right environment.
He will need to be neutered at an appropriate age; this will be a non-negotiable condition of adoption and will be followed up on.
Please contact us if you are interested.

Pontoon ( born Sept 2018) is a big male greyhound who is glad to be alive which is not surprising as he was left at a vet practice to be put down before being rescued in the nick of time. This kind lad is as daft as a brush but very sweet and will make you smile. He is neutered and microchipped. He cannot live with cats. If you would like Santa's big helper in your life, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Update from Ingalls' fosterer: Ingalls is a sweet, smallish, playful girl who, being only young herself, would thrive in a busy home with respectful older children. She could be an only dog and would need a garden to zoom about in ( snow not essential but fun for nose dives!).

Guppy ( now Indie) has not looked back since adoption and is looking forward to making friends with the local lurchers in her new home. Don't worry if you missed out on a rescued lurcher pup as there are, sadly, more in the wings.

We've had a fabulous day today at our Meet&Greet. Despite the awful weather, we had lots of visitors, both hounds and humans and our stalls did a roaring trade. It was lovely to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.
Huge thanks are owed to all those who made the event happen. As always, the staff of Macclesfield Community Garden Centre went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Thanks Jo and team. To all the volunteers who manned the stalls, made teas and coffees, sold raffle tickets and crafted beautiful items to sell - you are all heroes! Last but not least to everyone who turned out in the cold and rain to come and see us and put some pennies in the pot, thank you and your generosity will help more hounds find loving homes.
Hope everyone has thawed out!
