Here we are using the tedder to spread out the grass which will help the sun dry it. It's hot work but now its looking ready to bale 🙌

Some Red Deer on the fields today 🦌

Here are some interesting facts:
*Red deer are the largest native land mammal in the UK!
*Only stags (males) grow antlers, which are shed annually in late winter and regrow in spring.
*Red deer primarily inhabit moorlands, mountainsides, and grasslands near woodlands, feeding mainly on grasses, sedges, rushes, and dwarf shrubs like heather.
*A single calf is typically born in late spring (May or June) after an approximately 8-month gestation period.

Happy to announce that this little lady is all healed up after her close encounter with a mink! However the culprit is still on the loose 👀❤️🐔🤕

This poor little chicken was attacked yesterday by a mink. Luckily we managed to scare it off and looks like her wound is healing nicely. 🐔
