🎂🎂🎂
There’s been another birthday in the team this week, this time it was our brilliant Ashley’s turn. 🎂🎉🎈
Ashley is our lovely administrator and the bubbly, happy voice that many of you will know from calling the practice! 😁
We love an excuse for cake (and questionable singing!) in the Heath office and always make sure we have a little celebration for birthdays 🥰 I’m sure you will all join us in sending best wishes to Ashley.

Gemma is 30!!!! 🥰🎂🎉🎈❤️
It’s is a special birthday for our wonderful vet Gemma today as she turns 30!! 🥰🎂🎉🎈❤️
We had a little party on Friday to start the celebrations. Gem does an absolutely brilliant job of looking after all of her clients and patients and I’m sure you will all join us in wishing her a fantastic birthday 💕
(P.s Sorry (not sorry) Gem - we know you’ll hate this but we couldn’t let your birthday go unnoticed!!!)
P.p.s I’m not sure we’ll start a Heath choir anytime soon 😂😬

⛄️❄️🌨 SNOW DAY TIPS🌨❄️☃️
Here are some useful tips for the bad weather days:
1. Apply grease such as Cornucrescine and Vaseline and pick feet out frequently to reduce snow build up. 🐎
2. Feed mash or soaked hay to help reduce the risk of impaction colic. 🍽🥣
3. If you soak your hay, don’t stop! Pouring warm water over the soaked net will melt the ice and it can still be fed. 🫖
4. If you have a laminitic or sugar-sensitive horse, avoid turnout on frozen grass. 🥶
5. Use plenty of sand or salt on frozen paths. 🧂
6. Rug according to how cold your horse feels, not how cold you feel. 🔥
📸 We would love to see your snow day photos! To start to us off here is our Vet Hannah’s Shetland, Pumpkin enjoying the snow!!
A lovely message from one of our clients having had her three shetland pony mares scanned in foal by our vet Hannah and assisted by our Vet Tech Gena.
The detail seen on ultrasound scans at his stage of pregnancy is fascinating.
We cannot wait for fluffy little shetland foals to arrive!!

⭐️ We set up a new business during a global pandemic and Brexit - not for the faint hearted
⭐️ We got our first delivery of medicines and realised it was all for real
⭐️ We’ve had endless meetings over Zoom
⭐️ We’ve invested in lovely equipment that has proved invaluable to allow us to bring our skill set to your yards and provide our bespoke service.
⭐️ We’ve spent endless hours on the phone to each other
⭐️ We’ve welcomed fantastic new team members to the practice and grown our team from three original founders to a team of ten incredible women who we are so proud to call our colleagues and who our clients have welcomed with open arms.
⭐️ We’ve also welcomed five new automobile team members (our trucks plus Bernice, Bernadette and Beryl the Berlingos!) who have all had a glow up with lovely branding so you can’t miss us on the roads
⭐️ We’ve met so many new people and made lots of new friends (including so many gorgeous dogs, puppies, goats, cats, ducks…...)
⭐️ We’ve represented at Women In Veterinary Leadership events
⭐️ We’ve celebrated some big wins as well as small but significant ones with our clients
⭐️ We’ve vetted multiple horses and ponies for you to welcome into your lives
⭐️ We’ve had patients fly internationally to race on the flat, jump in the sunshine and move to live further afield
⭐️ We’ve sponsored three young riders with exciting futures ahead of them who we want to support in achieving their dreams
