My goodness is been a while since I posted on here ....

Apologies about the silence its just been a very busy couple of months .... but the end has come to my 2024 lambing season ....

Just wanted to say a massive thankyou to my clients for having me and putting up with me during this season... we have had highs and lows and iv spent time on amazing farms and have Lambed far too many to count .. we've had backwards, upside down and even a couple of side breachs ... iv learnt so much from my clients this season and we've all laughed and even cried a bit together at times 😕

Our pet lambs are out and about doing care home visits which I truly adore and I have to admit its my favourite part of the year 🥰

So sorry we have been so quiet here we have been super busy with clients, home visits and getting ready for lambing 2024!!

So pinky and the renamed brain are settling well into life here at Ryedale Animal Group.

As you can see they love their scratchings and spend most of their lives either asleep or eating ❤️

I would like to introduce everyone to our newest residents at RYAG ... PINKY and PERKY or bacon and ham depending on who your asking 🤣.

Rest assured these little ladies won't be seeing a cooking pot at any point as we are hoping to breed from them in the future ... so they will live there winter days in their sty then out to a free range life in the orchid 🥰

These ladies have come home from a summer away at a amazing home under our grazing scheme.

Sue has done an amazing job with these ladies and they have kept her paddock nice and short for her ponies!

Good golly miss molly have we been busy here at Ryedale Animal Group ....

We have welcomed so many new clients onto our books either booking for this year right into next and 2025 🫣.

We have taken on a few more rides for clients and groom work. Loading livestock and even lambing enquiries.

Thanks to all my amazing clients who choose me to take care of their precious pets.

We always pride ourselfs on haveing room for new clients so please don't hesitate to get into contact about house sitting, livestock work, groom and riding ... we even drive 3.5T box's...

We are crunching our way through jobs today just like Flops with his carrots ....

Talking of carrots and all things vegetables .... we are looking for local suppliers of carrots and leafy green veg. I'm conscious that 90% of the veg we buy for our animals is actually shipped from overseas due to the seasons in the UK.

As you can imagine we go through alot of veg for or furry lot so we are looking for a local grower who would be willing to sell some maybe less desirable seasonal veg they have so we can keep supplying the best to our veg crunching companions and keep our local growing economy thriving :)

We have now ended up with a waiting list of amazing family's who are going to be receiving their little flocks for their paddocks and to become part of their family's 🥰...

All local amazing homes and I carnt wait for you to meet your new flocks 🥰

We are getting into the last of our lamb weaning and about to get ready to start tupping for lambs next year 🥰

As a lot of you will know we offer our sheep to loving family's on grazing loans throughout North Yorkshire.

We currently have 4 flocks who are living their best lives when it comes to being family pets .....

Why have our flocks in to graze your paddocks?

All of our flocks are made up of ewes and Weathers (castrated male sheep). They are a mix of diffrent breeds and ages. We like to keep a mix of lowland grazing breeds and upland so they maximise grazing.

Our flocks are used as fibre sheep and breeding ewes. We breed every year to herdwick tups as we find the hardiness of a herdwick makes a great base for lambs.

All sheep are part of our health flock plans with 24/7 advice and help. We clip and regular feet clipping , worming and fly spraying to keep our sheep in tip top condition.

We love receiving photos from clients who have fallen in love with our sheep and theve become part of their family life 🥰

We have been very busy here as usual! House sitting for 3 weeks and general day to day jobs!

The ducklings have hatched, so far we have 3 ducklings and 1 chick that now thinks it's a duckling 🤣🤣

We have had a great week here at Ryedale Animal Group .. lambs are being Weaned so lots of noise and new fields ... and lots of family's away enjoying their summer holidays 🥰.

On Monday we moved some of our pet sheep onto new grazing land at a friends family home with their horses ... as you can see by the pictures the sheep have settled in well and are absolutely loving all the attention. Very lucky sheep 🤩.

If you have a paddock or orchids that would benefit from a small friendly flock grazing on them for as long as you need them then let us know. We handle all Tcph requests and general care of them e.g worming, shearing and lambing. you provide the fenced grazing and water supply for them and enjoy :).

P.s Don't think this family will be letting go of this bunch for a while but other small groups available who are just as friendly 🤣🤣

A very busy few weeks here as people start their summer holidays 😀

Just a update I am back riding out and schooling for people again... thanks again to all my lovely clients and their horses who have had to put up with a 4 week holiday while I regained the use of my arm. If I have accidentally missed any clients off my riding list or if you are looking for a 60kg lightweight jockey to exercise your ponys/horses. Please do just drop me a message!

I'm not back relief milking at the moment as iv not got full use of my wrist in a twisting movement yet so finding it hard to put clusters on. Will let clients know when I'm ready to return to you and your girls :)

Roxy the Rose hair tarantula, she's a old girl who is gentle soul ... she has hooks on the end of her legs so she can climb anything and 8 eyes so she sees everything 🤣

Did you know tarantulas can survive up to a year without having food.....

One of the most common questions I get asked is where do the small animals live ...

Well everyone lives free range in my secure garden .... with 4 hutches that are constantly open and various natural hiding places and a shed with hutches in it for winter nights that they can access 24/7. Water and food stations are all over the garden and their toys and tunnels.

After a couple of weeks away from our therapy visits to recover physically and mentally from the accident but yes i can confirm animals make everything better. I'm so happy to be back visiting care homes with them to share them with everyone again ❤️

So we visited a care home in pickering today with our 2 not so little lambs no bottles anymore but plenty of interaction with residents. Lovely to speak to a couple of farmers who Graded the lambs and told me what fantastic lambs they are. That just makes it all worth while in its self ... to be able to speak to that generation of farmers and hear their stories and tales and knowledge is just priceless...

On another note ingrid the pony is looking fabulous and is just getting her topline back after her weight watchers diet ... watch this space for exciting things we will be doing with her in the near future 😁
