Operation K9 Academy, our training side of the company is now offering a bridging qualification from the Level 3 Diploma in Canine Hydrotherapy to the Level 4 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy for those in the industry

Alongside offering the Level 4 Certificate there is some more exciting news coming soon 😜👀👀🐾

GA are pleased to announce Operation K9 Academy to our growing network of training providers.

The team at Operation K9 Academy are approved to offer the following GA qualifications:

1. GA Level 4 Diploma on Canine Hydrotherapy (610/5135/4)

2. GA Level 4 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy - Bridging Qualification (610/5136/6)

GA are confident that Operation K9 Academy will provide excellent training to all students helping them achieve their goals.

Gorgeous girl Bingley came in to see us at Operation K9, Beverley following surgery at Vets4pets, Beverley. The wound required laser therapy to speed up the recovery and get Bingley back to being outdoors 🌿

We used our class IV laser which gets the job done really quickly so the sessions are completely stress free! In just 5 sessions across 3.5 weeks the wound is fully healed and healthy. Just in time before Bingley was plotting her prison break at home.

Bingley is now signed off 🤍

❗️It's set to be a cold one this weekend ❗️❄️

During the last cold snap, we had we saw a few of our arthritis patients take a dip in their symptoms 💔

🫧 This could be due to a change in barometric pressure. Some believe that this results in expansion and contraction of tissue in and around your joints (tendons, muscles, bones, and even scar tissue). If those tissues are already inflamed and sensitive due to arthritis, this could irritate them further

🌨 Additionally, the lower temperatures of winter are thought to increase the thickness of fluid inside their joints, making them stiffer and perhaps more sensitive to pain during movement

❄️Not to mention the reduction in exercise in icy, snowy weather and the hazards of slips and uneven surfaces

Try to anticipate any deterioration by making sure:
✅Medication reviews are up to date, and you have any top-up medication that has been prescribed to hand
✅Weather appropriate coats are worn when outside
✅Shorted exposure to outside, use alternative inside enrichment
✅Make sure they have a warm, thick, comfortable bed indoors to rest
✅Consider warm heat packs or wraps for arthritic joints

Or.....just stay in and spend indoor time with your dog 💕🐾❄️

It's been another fantastic year treating the pets of Yorkshire 🐾

New faces, babies 👶, award nominations, new equipment, and a collaboration with means we are now offering the Level 4 Canine Hydrotherapy course, which has gone swimmingly! 💦

Thank you again to all our colleagues, vet staff, patients, clients, and supporters. We are very honoured to be able to care for the number of dogs we do, and we are always striving to improve 😀
