It is with a heavy heart we share the sad passing of Bumper our OpK9 mascot.
He was a massive character and a huge part of our lives for the past year. We gave him some extra time and quality of life. He was obsessed with the water and couldn't be in a better place with our "village" taking care of him.
We will miss him terribly, and I'm sure plenty of our clients will too, his little face peering out of the office door wondering what he is missing.
Run free on all four legs at Rainbow Bridge mate. Thanks for all you have taught us and the pleasure you brought into our lives ,๐๐พ๐๐

Some amazing progress from Lola! Today was her 9th session and we're seeing some huge improvements in her strength and mobility.
Her progress is highlighted in these videos, where at week 3 she needed lots of support and help patterning, today she's able to support her own weight in the water with a good gait!

Itโs been a great 2022!
We would like to extend our thanks to our lovely clients and referring Veterinary practices. We are honoured you continue to choose us and pride ourself in being the reputable, experienced and first class centre our area deserves!
This year has seen lots of new patients through our doors, and unfortunately we inevitably lost some beloved souls that we had built up close relationships with ๐๐ผ
2023 looks to be our trickiest year yet with regards to the uncertain economic climate.
Unfortunately we are seeing hydro centres closing around the country due to the rise in energy and living costs.
We understand most people will be effected in some way, and hope that we can help each other with flexibility and understanding.
We are looking forward to another great year and meeting lots of new faces ๐๐พ hereโs to 2023!!!

Charlie loves his massage in between his swim sets!
During swim sessions, aquatic massage is applied to help alleviate secondary tension and soreness often found in patients with joint pain and gait abnormalities.

Munchkin comes to us for rehabilitation for a ligament injury. She has done ever so well. We take extra precautions for our feline patients to make them feel as comfortable as possible while still performing therapeutic treatment.

Toffee stifle flexion
๐๐พ A nice video showcasing how we can increase the flexion of the knee when in the water treadmill.
Joints benefit from being put through their full range of motion to help nourish the articular surfaces. Add reduced weight bearing with warm water and you have a great therapeutic exercise.
