Another one of 'those' National days...
No horsing around β today is an opportunity for you to be a good βneeeiiigh-borβ as itβs...
National Help A Horse Day! π
This important occasion aims to raise awareness of the struggles that equines all over the world face and contribute to efforts saving them from cruel and inhumane situations.
We have been on the front line at dozens of horse rescues, seeing things I hope to forget from extreme neglect to problems caused by simple ignorance and horses loose on roads.
The plus side is seeing how these beautiful delicate animals can have their lives turned around and come out stronger, braver and trusting in people again.
No, I'm not asking you to go out and rescue a pony today but if you can do anything to help one, like drop a donation to your local horse charity then please do.
Sacks of feed and bales of hay also count!
Reusing a video of Spirit on her journey to her new home for this post.

What a difference a few days makes?!
Perhaps a sun dance will bring back more days like the weekend.βοΈ
The horses are taking it all in their strides. Enjoying extra hay and shortfeed.π΄ππ΄
*Appeal**
We are looking for more grazing, even temporarily to rest our paddocks and let the grass grow.
Please message if you know of any or any landowners who may be able to help...Options of 5+ acres considered to give some relief (in WR postcodes).
Thank you.
A short break from rain, instead we have snow.
More hay out to help with internal central heating.

The little ones are always up for a game of chase.
Sometimes I can't resist a 'mini stampede'.
Honey gives us the cutest little leap over a log in the field. π΄ππ΄
Today we saw the beautiful Spirit head to her new loan home.
Spirit was an abandonment case, left to starve at the side of the road with another pony. When they first came in, the two were impossible to catch, covered in lice and full of worms.
With love, patience and the right kind of care Spirit has become one of the most loving ponies. Interested in everything and always the first over to say hello.
After a small false start when she didn't want to go into the lorry yesterday, she loaded into the trailer this morning and travelled safely to her new yard ready to start her education and training.
We wish you the very best of luck in your new chapter and can't wait to see your progress.

Whether they are a morning pony or not, it's a pleasure to see them everyday
Have a great day π΄ππ΄
Update on the funding appeal.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, liked and shared the post.
The tally stands at over Β£3000 (not 4 as I mistakenly say in the video).
A great relief to have this support and backing. It will certainly go a long way in helping with the rescue costs.
We have received your messages and I will reply in turn to everyone as soon as I can.
Thank you to Sam at Nero's in Great Malvern who has got a 'name the bear competition' set up in the coffee shop to help raise funds and she did this the day she heard about the accident.
The Oak at Staplow have pledged the donations from their upcoming quiz night (June).
Janet Jones is hosting a table top tack sale and donating a portion of the earnings from that.
Thanks again to everyone
Please support these local businesses and events so they can continue to support local charities like ours and others

New home day for Tiny!
Back with his long term friend Tarka, it was like no time had passed since they were together. Tarka went first to keep another horse company but now that one has gone back into training, Tiny couldn't wait to join her

Happy New Year!
Thank you for all of your support!
2022 has been an incredibly difficult year for the rescue for a number of different reasons, but we made it. Like everyone else we hope 2023 brings easier times and greener grass!

***Great News***
Apologies for the long video/post.
Today Bailey has gone off to his new home...
Bailey came to us as one of 10 neglected cruelty cases, his former owner banned from keeping horses...π‘
Always a gentle and forgiving giant, Bailey has been with us for a while...
In 2021 he underwent life saving surgeryπ¨ββοΈ...
Bailey made a full recovery and you'd never know he'd had an operation...
A solid member of the herd, his blue eyes capture everyone's hearts π
Earlier this year he met Lauren and a bond started to form...π«
Today he has gone to live with her and start the rest of his life π«
Wishing him and Lauren the very best for the future, can't wait to see how he grows and learns in your care.
Thank you for giving him a chanceβ€
Thank you to Lauren, Claire and Ellen from Gaia Horsemanship for helping to load a slightly anxious Bailey and to help him on his way.
