I have been accepted as a full member of The Guild of Dog Trainers MGoDT (CDT)
All the Continued Personal Development over many years has paid off.

Today 5 dogs and 4 handlers from Positive Paws were out and about focus trailing.
Luckily we were able to take advantage of an early start and the shade from the woodland surrounds.

Trails were kept relatively short but included more junction work to ensure that both dogs and handlers remained comfortable.
Teams Zanzi, Elwood and Tyler are more experienced, so twists and turns were a nice challenge for them.

Team Jess was completing her introduction to tracking and trailing and this little one is going to be a star.
Her Sisters Fran & Aggie had previously completed an introduction so continuation training was the order of the day.

To finish off with a little fun 3 dogs took scent from a car door handle in order to find there misper.
They were superb !

We awarded introduction certificates to Fran, Aggie and Jess with Tracey.

All in all it was a lovely morning for all the handlers and dogs.
We must give special thanks to Anne who is a super trail layer and happy to hide out for the dogs.

🐾🐾 Some lovely training last night from the Puppy, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced classes.
Practicing loose lead walking, focus/attention, dealing with traffic, road crossings and distractions. Working in different environments.
All the dogs did great recalls on and/or off the lead.
Stays are coming along really well as are the stop on commands.
Keep up the good work.
Practice brings results.

5 teams from Positive Paws tracking and trailing were out and about in the sunshine on Friday.
Teams Ellwood, Zanzi, Fran, Aggie and Tyler.
Teams Fran and Aggie were focusing on how they could combine previous training into the tracking and trailing focus work.
Teams Zanzi, Ellwood and Tyler needed longer trails but we included both urban and rural aspects to progress development.
They were all brilliant dealing with passers by, other dogs and handlers. A lively successful morning for all.

On Friday 18th of April 4 teams from Positive Paws Ellwood, Zanzi Casper and Tyler were out and about on an Easter Egg track and trail session.
This was a semi urban area and I’m delighted to say all the teams successfully located their handlers Easter Eggs.
They crossed parkland into woods and along the side of the drive to successfully complete their mission.

On Friday 25th April 4 more Positive Paws teams Molly, Mollie, Dylan and Gunner were completing Rural Track Trails, although not complex trails they were focused on increasing distance which all teams did extremely well.
