Monday saw 4 teams from Positive Paws out and about doing urban trails.
They not only had to contend with pedestrians, dog walkers and roads they had the added pressure of teams from highways installing new light structures. So men I fluorescent coats, diggers, spades and bright barriers were the order of the day.
We may have has some sneaky high hides…If You Know You Know. Gail!
To top it all we had 3 passes at UK Scent Sport Mini League Urban 2 and 1 pass at Level 1. Massive well done to Teams Molly, Mollie, Dylan and Ty.

🐾 Kennel Club Listed Status for the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme - Puppy, Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

🐾 Puppy, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced classes available.

🐾 One to One sessions.

🐾🐾 Success at United Spaniels Association KC Rally Competition on Sunday.

Congratulations 👏 to Jean & Zac RW who acheived 3rd place with an excellent score in Level 6.

Also Congratulations 👏 to Jo & Beryl who acheived qualifying scores in Level 1 & Level 2.
This follows on from the FITdogs Rally Competition Accrington in December with our young superstar achieving an Excellent score of 200 out of 210 in Level 1 and 6th place at her first competition.

Friday saw three Teams from Positive Paws out trailing in an urban environment.
Teams Molly, Mollie and Dylan
The day was cold and overcast, with swirling wind. Although we were blessed with a dry day.
The focus of the day was S trails and split trails which they all did brilliantly. It’s a joy to see the confidence of the teams increasing as they get better and better. Line handling has also improved
Little Blu is a rescue, just starting his trailing journey. We worked on teaching him the game, without getting him over excited…he’s going to be a smashing little trailer

Friday saw 4 teams Mantrailing wrapped up warm against the frost. With warm coats for the dogs and hot drinks for the handlers.
Teams Elwood, Ralphie, Zanzi and returning to trailing after a lengthy break, little Ivy.
Conditions were wonderful with frost but clear skies and sunshine.
The teams were set a variety of tasks from taking scent from our beautiful blonde victim and finding the perpetrator to this dastardly deed, to cross trails and taking scent from novel articles.
Little Ivy enjoyed her refresher and reminded us all of what a smart little girl she is.
An absolutely smashing morning enjoyed by all.

Positive Paws Mantrailing had teams out on Thursday the 12th and Friday 13th for our final trails before Christmas.

On Thursday we Had Teams Molly, Mollie, Dylan and Gunner.
They all had goals to complete, with split trails and door indications the order of the day. Going in and out of doors and carriages. Up access slopes, in and out of cool/ warm environments.
They dealt with everything magnificently. Well done everyone. Little Blue, also came out to play with a short track to trail.

Friday saw, teams Zanzi, Ellwood Ralphie and Kasper…. All the boys out to play.
They had split trails with both the decoy and inner visible. No scent indications and nice steady trailing in the woods. Great way to break up for Christmas.
Well done everyone.

Fun was had by all at the dog training party on Tuesday.
Some brilliant stays in the Noughts and crosses game especially as they were in close proximity.
All dogs and handlers behaved themselves even though I think there may have been a little cheating now and then in the team games!🤣

Three teams from Positive Paws, teams Mollie, Dylan and Molly were out trailing on Friday.
A very last minute change of plans meant we did rural trails.
Although initially cold, the sun decided to shine upon us and we made the most of the venue.
We were lucky enough to have two passes at UK Scent Sport Mini league at level 3 and one at level 2 well done all. As you can see we also had one of the best indications on a trail layer.

🐾🐾 What an end to these current training courses.
We offer the option for people and their dogs to participate in the KC Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme Awards.

We had 3 puppies completing their Puppy Foundation Award, 7 achieving their Bronze Award, 1 achieving their Silver Award and 2 achieving their Gold Award.

Everyone had their own goals to work towards. Those that are not quite ready yet know what they need to work on. You are so close. Not everyone is ready the first time around. Nerves can play a big part.

Thank you to Penny and Jo for your invaluable help and guidance to all of our club members.

Looking forward to the next courses starting Tuesday 19th November.
