After a long walk our handmade beds are the perfect retreat for your faithful friend; providing superior comfort and support our deep-filled luxurious dog beds are available in a range of sizes, with soft fabric covers to snuggle in to. The covers on our beds are easily removed and machine washable. An optional waterproof liner provides protection and longevity to the inner cushion, and helps to m

aintain a fresh bed. As all our products are handmade by our seamstresses here in our studio in the Lincolnshire Wolds we can happily accommodate requests to customise your bed (if you would prefer Velcro closures instead of zips, for example), and our fully bespoke service, where we work with you to design a bed to your specification, coordinating with your home.

Good morning! And hello from the Designed for Dogs team! 👋
We’ve been a little quiet on socials lately but as ever we’ve been busy beavering away in the studio!
We’ve enjoyed some time-off, battled with seasonal flu and Holly’s been studying alongside running the business!
And we’ve also been even busier than usual working through your orders! Somehow it all seems so much easier in our new HQ because we are much more efficient; the new workspace has been better in more ways than we could have imagined! And meeting so many customers in-person in our boutique has been the icing on the cake!

We’ll be sharing as much as we can in the run up to Christmas, (though some days we just don’t get chance to take photos!) with lots of gifting ideas for the 4-legged family and those hard to buy for dog lovers!

🎉 6 Months in Our New Studio & Boutique! 🎉
Today we’re celebrating a little milestone – it’s been 6 months since we moved into our beautiful new studio and boutique here in the Lincolnshire Wolds!
In that time, we’ve:
🐾 Opened our very own boutique ✨
🐾 Hosted open days and welcomed so many of you through our doors
🐾 Held a photoshoot full of wagging tails
🐾 Met hundreds of adorable dogs and their lovely owners
🐾 Won the Village Scarecrow Festival (ridiculously proud of that one 😁)

Our new space has allowed us to work more efficiently, create even more beautiful products, and spend time with the community that makes Designed for Dogs so special. Most importantly, our team absolutely LOVE working here – it’s made such a difference to our little business.
And now… we’re so excited to be heading into our first Christmas in the new space. We’ve got lots of festive plans, beautiful gifts for dogs (and their humans!), and we can’t wait to share it all with you.

Eek! Our 2nd time hosting an event and we had a brilliant day… and we’re a just about recovered I think 😅

On Sunday we held our end of summer sale and rescheduled photoshoot and once again had a brilliant time seeing customers old & new.

We had puppies as young as 4 months through to 12 year old dogs in the photoshoot, they all did a phenomenal job of modelling and I can’t wait to share photos with you soon 🤩

Hats off to mum of for her amazing skills in photography, capturing dog’s attention, and especially quick reflexes snapping the perfect picture! 📸

Piccie is from our last open day when mum came to see us and took the most beautiful photos of our boutique. Think we need to make this an annual event ladies? 🤩

Our Story

Before we brought home our rescue pup, Rocky, we wanted to buy him a bed that we could easily wash, and that would look nice in our home. We were dismayed that so many beds labelled 'washable' meant putting the entire bed in the washing machine! Not only were most beds too big for a typical machine but they rarely come out the same shape or softness. The covers were often poor quality with a limited choice of colours & patterns. And we'd always found with previous beds that many fibre fillings go 'flat' very quickly, losing their comfort and support.

Frustrated by this we spent the following months speaking to other dog owners, researching and testing materials, and over time have created our own range of beds. Living in the countryside has inspired our country-themed fabrics, and also provides the perfect testing ground for durability and washability!

Our products aren't the cheapest out there, but they are certainly not the most expensive either. We carefully select the very best materials and the prices truly reflect the quality of the product. In buying from Designed for Dogs we are confident you are buying a product that will last well and still look great.
