Do you have an agility dog you love running — but feel constantly worried about how they’re going to react in new or busy environments?
Does that worry stop you from entering shows?
Or make you avoid certain venues, workshops, or group classes because you’re scared something will go wrong?
I’ve been there.
For years, I deliberately avoided training Quest at Dog Sports Derby — because he’s an anxious dog who poos when adrenaline hits. And I knew that in a high-pressure environment, it could all fall apart.
And I’ve watched, for four years, as others trained there, ran shows, did workshops like it was no big deal — and I’d be lying if I said that didn’t cause some frustration.
But I also knew: throwing Quest in and hoping for the best wouldn’t be fair on him — or on me.
So instead, I worked patiently and consistently on the framework we needed.
👉 I built up his confidence.
👉 I gave him the tools to handle pressure.
👉 I built my understanding of what triggered my own nerves and what helped me feel grounded.
And finally this month? We ran at DSD — confidently 💪.
If you’re avoiding certain environments or situations with your dog, it doesn’t mean you’ll always have to. You might just need a better framework and support system to get there — and that’s exactly what I teach inside my Anxious to Amazing course.
🧩🧩Doors are open now.🧩🧩
We start 14th July.
You and your dog deserve to run with confidence.
