Forecast is looking very warm again tomorrow, there will be gazebos up, plenty of water and field side parking for everyone.

I have however decided that it will be too much to be moving equipment in the middle of the day soo I’m afraid there won’t be a steeplechase set up. There will be an agility course (x2) set up all day.

Everyone is still welcome to come and either run the courses or train sections or practice contact equipment instead.

You can also switch to the morning session at 10am if you’d rather. ✌🏼

This weekend will be our first open farm Sunday Bouverie Lodge

We have :
⭐️ 10am - Steeplechase (2 courses, 2 runs on each)
⭐️ 12pm - ‘Have a Go Agility’
⭐️ 2pm - Agility Course Running (G3-5/ FC equipment. 2 Courses, 2 runs on each or welcome to train)

SPACES on both classes 12pm & 2pm - PM or comment to book 📕

🐶🐶 ‘Have a go agility’ will be pay on the day and time dependant 🙂 all proceeds to ⬇️⬇️

We will be raising some pennies to help out the Super team that is Collins and Shrimpy to go and compete at the IMCA event in the Netherlands at the end of August.

So we have a raffle going on for some natural dog treat hampers!

Steeplechase Sunday with a difference! 🦬🦌🚜 Bouverie Lodge are having an Open Farm Sunday

So there is an opportunity to firstly show off our fabulous sport to the public but also run/train in a slightly busier environment, replicating a show environment.

The field will be fenced from the general public and we will be running in the normal relaxed format. Your welcome to run and train in both sessions.

There will also be a ‘have ago agility’ ring between 12:30-1:30pm for anyone wanting to have a try without committing to a regular session!

FIrst weekend in AGES I’m at home! Does anyone fancy course running or training on Saturday morning? 10:30ish whilst it’s still cooler? All abilities welcome, relaxed friendly environment.. help and advice always at hand 😄🐾

As a breeder I really like to start some puppy training. I had a bit of fun trying to start some raised bed foundations. I like it because I can ✋🏼 Lure them with treats 👃🏽 Drop treats for them to search for 💡 Get them to try and remember how they got the treat last time 👣 They are swapping between obstacles and surfaces Great starting foundations for when they head off to their new homes 😀🤞🏼 #puppytrainingtime #puppytraining #puppyskills #puppyfoundations #puppyfoundationtraining #toypoodle #toypoodlepuppy #startingright #dogtrainer #dogtrainermelton

River loves to play and chase other dogs which is great except until recently I wouldn’t have been able to recall her at all 🙈 Recalling off other dogs is the biggest training issue I get from my puppy group owners. It’s took a lot of trial and error to figure out how I can be the most rewarding and valuable choice. Iv switched up the reward, treats, toys, fuss. Iv practiced different disciplines and mixed them up in training to gain self control in high arousal (agility, game) training and added in so high arousal stimulation into areas that require a lot of focus, heel work and steadiness. It’s so easy to set out with a training plan on something specific that you want to work on but you need to be ready to switch it up if it isn’t going to plan, especially with young dogs and puppies. Break it down, set them up for success and most of all make it fun! Put your main efforts into building a strong bond… the rest will follow so much quickly ❤️🐾
