Misty & Pippa
Can you give us a wonderful new home... we promise to entertain you!
Misty and Pippa have come to us through no fault of their own. They are around 3 years old and such a lovely pair of bunnies. Misty is the grey lop, she likes to explore then sprawl out and get comfy. Pippa also loves to explore and is the busier of the two but then also likes a comfy wash and rest. Both girls are spayed and ready to leave us and we would love for them to find a home very soon.

Nibbles
I am a fine chap looking for a new home.
Nibbles is a delightful boy! He is about 18 months old. He is a friendly boy who likes to be stroked. He is curious but really does like a bit of attention before hopping off to munch his dinner. Nibbles is a calm and very relaxed bunny. He is almost ready to leave us for his new home.

We are pleading with the public not to abandon animals they can no longer care for. Last week two male rabbits were found dumped in a recycling bin behind a retail park in Ayr – a week apart. Bin collectors came across the first rabbit inside a wheelie bin and reported it to the charity. The white...

**Willow's Update 💔🐰**
Willow came to us as an emergency case, where the risk of euthanasia was high. We couldn’t bear to let her go without a chance. Her vet bill has already reached £635, and this does not yet include the cost of the amputation. 💸 With Christmas approaching 🎄🎅, we know times are tough for many, but if you’re able to contribute to her ongoing care, we would be incredibly grateful. 🙏❤️

**Willow's Update 💔🐰**
We’re heartbroken to share that Willow’s journey is taking a tough turn. After extensive evaluation, it’s clear that the only option for her is to amputate her leg due to the severity of her dislocation 😢
While many bunnies adjust to life on three legs, we’re concerned about how Willow will manage, especially given her age and the underdeveloped muscles in her remaining leg. Our priority is to ensure Willow has the best quality of life possible, and we’ve made the decision to move forward with her amputation. 🏥💔 .

“To love a rescuer you must love all of her. You must love the scars covering her body from panicked and hurt animals she was trying to help. You must love her fractured heart, that has been broken so many times she no longer even takes the time to mend the pieces.
To love a rescuer, you must embrace her grit and determination, and know that although she fights a war she can never win, she can and does win a few battles. You must love the tears she will shed over those she lost. You must give her comfort that she refuses to accept, as she blames herself for things she could have never foreseen.
To love a rescuer you must acknowledge the rage she feels towards the world at times, and know that anger is driven by a love of life too few have. You must give her space and room to cry and mourn for the losses that others have caused out of carelessness or cruelty.
To love a rescuer you must understand her passion to heal and save is a calling, not a choice. You must accept that to save animals is part of her soul and without that she could never be happy.
To love a rescuer you must be patient. You must accept her work comes first. She will forgo sleep, forgo food, forgo her life for animals in need. She will work tirelessly until her body and mind fail her completely and she cannot go on.
To Love a rescuer, you must be strong. You must not be threatened by her focus and love of animals. You must accept that the things you love about her, the strength and convictions and loyalty are also what drives her sense of duty to animals in need; you cannot have one without the other.
To love a rescuer you must never ask her to choose, because she will, and it will not be you.

Tuckerbunnies Rabbit Sanctuary takes in rabbits from rescues who are difficult to rehome like dental, rabbit's with behaviour problems, disabled and blind rabbits. This frees up a space at the rescue for another needy rabbit and gives a home to a rabbit that might have been in rescue for years. We have had rabbits from rescues all over the country, we have also have taken in rabbit's that have desperately needed a home or their owners circumstances have changed. We don't rehome this is where the rabbit's remain and are loved and cared for the remainder of their life.
Tuckerbunnies Rabbit Sanctuary is self funded and run from our home in Middleton Tyas, Richmond , North Yorkshire. We do rabbit holiday boarding that helps with the running cost's of our sanctuary but the Corvid19 pandemic has hit us hard and so we had no income coming in for a couple of months and had to rely on the kindness of our friends and followers who donated or sent parcels of treats or sacks of food for the rabbit's, without their kindness we wouldn't have been able to carry on.
.We believe in space and that's what your bunnies get when they spend a holiday with us here at Tuckerbunnies. We don’t have rabbit’s in hutches outside, outdoor rabbits are boarded in Keegans Kabin which has air conditioning unit’s on in the Summer and heating in our cold North Yorkshire Winter’s so that rabbit’s can be cosy and snug.
We love rabbits they are our passion and your rabbit or rabbits will be just as important as ours and looked after and cared for just as well. I myself have over 30 years of experience with rabbits, besides the boarding we also have 27 rescue rabbits of our own some with special needs which we have got from rescues all over the country.
~Accommodation~
We have 3 bunny Suites indoors for Houserabbits and 'Keegans Kabin' a 20ft x 10ft shed with 5ft x2ft x 2ft hutches and play pens for outdoor buns. We have air conditioning in the Summer and heating in the Winter, fly screens at the windows.
We supply tunnels and toys for your bunnies while they holiday here all you bring is your bunny/bunnies and their vaccination cards.
~Exercise~
We have lovely large rabbit runs in our large garden ( grass or hard standing) and the shed has play pens in case of bad weather they can still play out. Indoor rabbits have an indoor cage in a play pen and can remain out all day and night in their pen if you want.
~Health & Hygiene~
All bunny suites and hutches and toys and tunnels are steam cleaned and disinfected inbetween boarders.
We have experience with most rabbit problems and can syringe feed and do injectable and oral medication when needed.
We also have CCTV so we can keep our eye on any rabbit that we think maybe ill. We also have a great security system in place so that your rabbit's are safe at all times.
Rabbits must be vaccinated for VHD and Myxomatosis before they can board with us and proof of vaccinations will be needed.
We provide their pellet food and fresh greens and fresh herbs and dried herbs. Good quality hay and Timothy hay all you bring is your rabbit and your rabbit's vaccination card of proof your rabbit is vaccinated against VHD and Myximatosis as without the proof we can't board your rabbit for the safety of the other holiday buns and our own.
Feel free to bring any favourite toy your rabbit favours or blanket to make him feel at home.
If you wish I will send emails or text you on how your rabbit is doing if you are worried or just want to know how they are enjoying their holiday :-)
Any advice...well that's all free we don't charge for that, any problems please free to ask away.
