We’re thrilled to announce a brand new round of Evening Puppy Classes starting this November! 🎉 Led by our experienced onsite trainer, Elle from Clever Canines, these classes cover all the essential puppy basics, boost confidence, and set up a solid foundation for a lifetime of adventures with your pup! 🐶

Our fully lit facilities include an indoor venue (with heating) to keep everyone cozy during the colder months. ❄️ Classes are pay-as-you-go and can continue as long as you need to ensure you get full support throughout your puppy’s journey! 🐾

What better way to celebrate a sunny day than by welcoming another adorable addition to our daycare dogs. 🐶❤️ Luna joined us today, and with her energy and love for the paddling pools, there was no doubt Crossroads was the perfect fit! You'll be seeing more of this fun and bouncy girl. 🐾💦

We’ve been busy over at daycare putting together our newest enrichment zone, and we’re thrilled to introduce Rudi’s Run! 🐾 This fantastic new area is all about tunnels, climbing, rolling, and having the best time ever!🥳

As you can see, some of our daycare goers are already loving the space as much as we do. We can’t wait for everyone to join in on the action this week😍

Our daycare goers have been loving our new shaded area, complete with our shark misting fans to keep the ground cool all day long! ❄️🐾 Between climbing Dog Everest, exploring Buddy's Woods, and snoozing all afternoon, we can tell daycare is going to be full of fun memories this summer!🥳

🥵🔥Beat the Heat🔥🥵

Hi all! As the temperature rises this week, it’s crucial to take extra precautions to ensure our beloved dogs stay cool and comfortable. 🐶💦 Remember, no dog has ever died from skipping a walk, but many suffer from the heat. Here are some essential tips and fun ideas to keep your dog happy and safe during these hot days:

1. Stay Hydrated: Make sure your dog has access to fresh, cool water at all times.
2. Avoid the Heat: Walk your dog early in the morning or late in the evening when temperatures are cooler. If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!
3. Create Cool Zones: Set up shaded areas in your garden and bring out fans or cooling mats for your dog to lounge on.
4. Indoor Fun: Engage your dog’s mind and body with indoor activities:
• Puzzle Toys: These can keep your dog entertained and mentally stimulated.
• Hide and Seek: Hide treats or toys around the house and let your dog find them.
• Short Training Sessions: Teach new tricks or practice cues to keep them mentally sharp.
5. Frozen Goodies: Make homemade frozen treats using dog-safe ingredients like peanut butter, yogurt, or broth. You can also freeze their favourite toys in water for a fun, refreshing chew.
6. Grooming: Regular brushing helps to remove excess fur and promote better air circulation. For some breeds, a professional summer trim can make a big difference.
7. Breed Considerations: Be extra cautious with breeds that are more prone to heat-related issues, such as brachycephalic breeds (e.g., Bulldogs, Pugs) and those with thick coats (e.g., Huskies, Malamutes). These dogs can overheat more quickly and need extra care to stay cool.
8. Monitor for Signs of Overheating: Watch out for excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and uncoordinated movements. If you notice any of these signs or out of character behaviour, contact your vet for additional advice and intervention.
