Pamper & Scamper are signing off for well earned Christmas break! It’s been another awesome year having trained a total of 161 dogs! I’m extremely proud to be helping make Stroud and surrounding areas a place known for their well behaved dogs. Thanks to all my brilliant clients who make getting up on cold mornings worth it. Keep up your homework! I’ll be back on 9th January.

Very handsome Spencer has started his Rookie Gun Dog Games program. Here he is learning a sit stay whilst his Mum hides dummies for him to find and retrieve. Spencer came to me for help with chronic resource guarding where he wouldn’t give his owner a ball he finds when on a walk, meaning walks lost their enjoyment and caused lots of stress. It’s been quite a journey to overcome but the change has been extraordinarily! (Thanks to the diligence of his owner trusting my techniques). Now he’s ready to learn hand deliveries, stop whistles and field skills! Nice work Spenc 👌

New starter this morning… welcome Narla and her Dad Mike to the Pamper & Scamper club. This morning Mike learnt how to correctly socialise Narla around other dogs, helping her to understand that her Dad is the most important thing to focus on even when meeting other dogs. This will teach Narla not to charge at other dogs obsessing over play, and how to play politely too. Whistle recall training will begin in January.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS! 🎊🎉🎈 To Freddie and his owner Micheal. Today this pair smashed their Recall and Heel Work test in the very busy Cirencester Park. Freddie had perfect recall on the whistle from dogs and people. He asks permission before he plays, doesn’t charge at other dogs but plays politely. He then comes away from play when called. Freddie can also do perfect heel walking past dogs and people. When off lead he remains within a circle around his owner too, even though there are lots of wildlife scents around. What a superb result Freddie & Micheal 👏

Please meet at The Crown in Minchinhampton at 10:30am. We will then go for a 1.5hr walk across the commons.
Returning to The Crown for Midday. There will be a buffet to enjoy and dog quiz with prizes for the winning team.
Please bring: a wrapped Secret Santa present for another dog and any spare cash to raise money for SAVE OUR SPANIELS RESCUE

Congratulations! 🍾🎉🎈 Kaneli the Finnish Laphund has SMASHED her recall & heel work test with a perfect score of 💯! Today in Cirencester Park Kaneli demonstrated heel work past other dogs and immediate recall around other dogs and out of play. She really was a dream! Well done 👏

Trying a bit of Agility with Daffers today curtesy of Emily Birch Canine Consultancy . It felt really good to have a blast!

This is Benji walking along a high street without a care in the world. Hard to believe that just over a month ago he was so scared of traffic that he wouldn’t even leave his house. Benji lives in London so has had Pamper & Scamper sessions online. How it makes me smile to see the confidence grow in a dog who was once so frightened.
